I'll move this back up because I think it is worth it. I never had heros while growing up, never sought role models or people to look up to. I had a distant father and was always fiercely independent and convinced of my own abilities.

But even as a 15 year old I knew Reagan was something special and as I have gotten older I have grown to realize just how much his presidency mattered, and how much effect he had on my life and my beliefs. If I ever had, or have, a hero it is Ronald Reagan.

2nd that was beautiful. Ronald Reagan was America's Father, America's hero, America's modern day Revolutionary. He rescued this nation from Carter's dismal failures. He made Americas feel good again, feel proud again.
