Awsome.
7-0 and the best offense cant seem to hit s***.:claps:
Good bye A-Rod(most overated player) and Torre(most overated manager).
I love it, they are being hammered by bonderman.:D
A-Rod is just fun to watch him strikeout.:D 25 million$ for a player that strikes out most of the time. I could strike out for the NYY for FREE !

I'd take A-rod in a heartbeat, but not for $25m. Joe Torre remains one of the nicest guys in the game.
But I've hated the Yankees for 50 years and counting.

Question: whos more popular in Riverside county SD Padres or Anaheim Angels ? I've heard lots of the fans of Angels and Padres are also in Riverside. I remember going to a Lake Elsinore Storm game back in the mid 90s and I read they changed to being a minor league team for SD.
Anyways Padres avoided elimination today in a 3-1 victory over the Cardinals.

You mean A-Rod for the Diamondbacks ?
Sounds like a good idea considering A-Rods failure has probally been partially mental since the Yankee fans hate him so much and boo him all the time. A-Rod could really use a positive crowd like in AZ.
AZ's smackdown against NYY in game 7 was one of the best Worlds Series ever imo.
Torre is a nice guy and a republican.

I always wondered. Adam Kennedy ALCS MVP 2002 is from riverside if that explains anything. Shame though next season he wont be with anaheim anymore it seems even though he has an excellent batting avg when bases are loaded. They have traded too many south county players in the past. Chuck Finley and Troy Glaus come to mind.

Living in the Bay Area, I've never understood why the Giants seem to be the more popular team, considering that they've never won a World Series since moving out from N.Y., while the A's have won several. Of course, in football, it seems to be the oppposite: the Raiders may get more fans at their game in S.F. today, though the 49ers have won more Super Bowls in recent decades. (This year, though, they may wind up with no more than two or three wins combined.)

I watched an HBO documentary about Oakland and the As and Raiders.
Pretty much it said that most in the bay area took the As 3 world series wins in the 1970's as wins for San Fagisco also since they are like what 8 minutes away from each other. It also represented the ending of our involvment in vietnam as the Hippys went to see the As play in the world series 3 times. The counter culture was most of their fanbase in the 70's.
They were the best team in the 70s until the Owner made the stupidest moves in MLB..he got rid of all the good players like Reggie Jackson. Reggie Jackson and others from the A's dominating 70s team were also in documentary talking about how they were the best and would have stayed that way if not for the dumbshit owner.
I also read that people in Oregon are divided between A's and Mariners fans.

Kenny Rogers is the ALCS MVP Imho. Hes shutout 7 innings in both the ALDS and ALCS. He's 2-0 in the post season. Hehe I bet the Oakland(lib city) hippys are regretting taking the AL West from Anaheim(GOP City).
GO GO TIGERS. Beat them 4-0. :claps: :claps: :claps: :claps:

One wonders if the same demons that possessed the Red Sox in 2004 are at work in Detroit in 2006.

I think there has been enough energy put in by alot of teams to keep the yankees from winning another WS title. It happend in Arizona, then in Anaheim, then in Florida, then in Boston, then in Chicago and now it seems certain it will be Detroit.

Ahaha I love it. Barry Zito got his butt whiped in game one. The media is always zooming in on Zito like they do with David Beckam and other show-off sportsmen.
This also signals Arnold Govenator will be even more likely to keep his seat as govenor now that the bay-area leftists have nothing to boost their morale and spirits up about.

Libs don't use sports to lift their spirits. They use drugs.
