 Tonight I was saying, Yankees Suck! Kenny friggin Rogers comes outta nowhere, he pitched a gem. Johnson is garbage, I don't even want him. Then Bonderman dominates us. Mussina got no support and Jaret Wright...c'mon now. Arod had another forgettable postseason. Im done talking about the Yankees or baseball until next season.
Cashman: Good, Young pitching prospects (look at Wango), Karstens ring a bell? Trade A-Rod if you have to. Mussina may be leaving, that leaves...Wang, Pavano(??)-and a bunch of guys who sucked it up this year.

I hear Anaheim might get A-Rod now that he failed in the postseason...again. A-rod might enjoy playing for a team who's pitchers always strike him out since he would no longer have to fear Jered Weaver or John Lackey and Escobar.
To be honest, the yankees would have more spirit if they felt like the underdogs. They havent picked up any good pitchers, since Mussina and Mariano Rivera are getting old fast. Johnsons days are probally over since he allows to many runs.
ATM Wang is all they got.
Right now Detroit, Anaheim, Minnesota have the BEST pitching in the league.
Give us A-rod and we'll throw in a good Prospect like Erwin Santana and the rest of A-Rods salary. Its a good deal considering NYY need for pitching but then again Zito is on the market but apparently he wants to stay in california. Jered Weaver 2.50 ERA 11-2 and Liriano are the best Rookies prospects out there and they aint up for sale so the yankees best bet is Zito or Santana(not Johan).
Also speaking on Mariano Rivera, have you seen K-Rods stats(Frankie Rodriquez) ? Hes the next Mariano no doubt and he is with anaheim for years to come and he loves it here. When he does go FA I expect NYY will make a HIGH bid for him to replace Mariano. Only 24 years old and his has over 100 saves.

Hey, Steinbrenner, all that money and still no championship. I see you invested wisely in A-Rod, Giambi, R.J. and the like.
Buy a clue, money doesn't buy championships. (and he'll spend more money no doubt)

Thats true they overspend on players that aint worth the high price.
Jeter is the only Yankee that is worth its value. NYY will probally be wanting to get that .347 batting avg leader 'Joe Mauer' from the twins as a future succesor to Jeter.
There is a handful of better players who are making less then 5 million.
Heres one of them: John Lackey 3.56 ERA 190 Strikeouts(2006) 3.44 ERA 199 Strikeouts(2005) and he is only making 3 million and he is pitching way better then Randy Johnson, Barry Zito, Curt Shilling and even had a better season then Kenny Rogers who ended up being super good in the playoffs.
Why are the yankees investing in old players ? Bobby-Overated-Abreu is already over 30 and Mussina is like 40 and Randy Johnson is 40 or 43 and Mariano is getting close to 40.

i love to see the yanks go down. although someone needs to beat the tigers before my beloved cards get to the series, wont do to have them play against the best.
serves a-rod right, and after SI listed him as their SS, leaving out the obvious choice of Ozzie Smith (the greatest shortstop to ever play the game)

IMO it seems when the Yankees fail to win the World Series the Republicans win elections.
1994(strike, no postseason for Yankees) the same year the democrats lost their totalitarian control over the senate and house.
2000 Yankees beat the Mets, same Year Hillary beat Rudy for a senate seat. That world series indicated that was the last of the Yankees World Series streak and the end of the Democrat control of the whitehouse.
2001 Yankees lose to Underdog DiamondBacks.
2002 Anaheim goes beyond expectations and eliminates the yankees and takes the world series. Same year the GOP had successful elections. Anaheim is also a Pro-Bush city.
2003 Florida Marlins beat the Yankees.
2004 Red Sox eliminate the Yankees and go on to win the world series. Same year Republicans sweeped bigger control of the senate.
2005 Anaheim again eliminates the Yankees...again but falls to the CWS.
2006 Yankees eliminated. GOP should win the 2006 elections.
All these years the yankees have been losing its been under GWB's presidency.

Hillary didn't beat Rudy, as he dropped out of the race for health reasons.
