North Korea might now have The Bomb, but it doesn't have much electricity (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/worldnews.html?in_article_id=410158&in_page_id=1811)

As the world grapples with how to rein in the "axis of evil" state which this week conducted a nuclear test, this spectacular satellite photo unveiled yesterday by US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld shows in stark detail the haves and have-nots of the Korean peninsula.
The regime in the north is so short of electricity that the whole country is switched off at 9 p.m. - apart from the capital of Pyongyang where dictator Kim Jong-il and his cohorts live in relative luxury. But even there, lighting is drastically reduced.

This is a socialist paradise where all people are equal.
(Of course, some are more equal than others . . .)

Yo...all you tree-hugging, granola eating, oil hating, liberal-butt-kissing, hate/blame America for all the world's ills, whack jobs...look closely at the pic in the OP. THAT is what you're trying to do the the USA.
That being said, can we NOW begin drilling in ANWR, building refineries and nuclear power plants?

Looks like someone forgot to blow out a candle up there. Isn't there a law against hoarding wax in North Korea?

It's not that the North Korean communists don't know, it's that they don't care. Their economy and people are straining to maintain a wartime footing even though they have been tottering for years like the Japanese in summer 1945.
They are fueled through brainwashing and paranoia.
They are a gangster government that rules through fear.
Their economy is dependent on illegal drug manufacture and selling on the world market, weapons sales, gambling operations in Japan, and counterfeiting US currency.
It's not if, but when one of their nukes is sold to a terrorist organization.
Their list of warlike provocations runs from everything like kidnapping Japanese civilians to sending commando units into South Korea to blowing up South Korean civilian airlines.
Tolerating them is like tolerating a certified nutjob neighbor with a large gun collection.
