But facades are easy. I can put on a black dress. I can smile. I can make my hair look as long as hers. It proves nothing. What is important is what lies behind the façade.

Will the real Ann Coulter please stand up?

The real Ann Coulter is no beauty queen. It was her comments about the 9-11 widows that pushed me to investigate and to write my latest book.

“I’ve never seen people enjoying their husbands’ deaths so much,” Coulter has said. And “these women got paid. They ought to take their money and shut up about it.”

Who says things like that? This is who. A woman who said in her first book that the question with respect to President Clinton should be “whether to impeach or assassinate.”

Was flipping the channels during a commercial break of ER and caught Estrich on MSNBC (I think, was some talk-news channel anyway), and I absolutely couldn't believe my ears. The host (can't remember who it was) asked her if her premise was right, why then was Coulter able to get on TV to promote her book and why was the book on the Best Seller list. Estrich's answer was (and I paraphrase) that her "readers" were actually a minority, but a vocal one, and that vocal minorities are able to affect such things because they know how to infiltrate/manipulate the media! I almost spit my drink across the room -- that's the EXACT description of: pro-choicers, homosexual advocates, envirowhackos, and Bush-haters! I couldn't stand too much more of that woman's grating voice, so I turned the channel before I could hear any more of her drivel. Actually, she owes a HUGE debt of gratitude to Ms. Coulter, especially if her book does well -- without Ann Coulter, her book would be just another boring tome out of the keyboards of liberal inconsequence.
