Though it goes against the conventional wisdom of anti-illegal immigration supporters, those who enroll the poor in the federal food stamp program say they've struggled for years to get immigrant Latino families signed up.

Now a Spanish-language news report and television ad campaign have spurred thousands of immigrants in Orange County over the last several weeks to contact a nonprofit organization that offers a Spanish-language class called "Food Stamps in Four Hours."

Why not just call ourselves the Chicano States of Mexamerica and be done with it?

What I can't understand is why the media isn't pointing out the hypocrisy of Mexican ILlegal immigragion. If they took the time to find out what Mexico's immigration laws are, they would see that Mexico has some of the harshest punishment provided for those who enter the country illegally. And yet, we are supposed to welcome Mexican illegal immigrants with open arms, provide them with medical care, an education, unemployment compensation if they can't get work, jobs if they can, and protections from prosecution for breaking the law?

This is the HEIGHT of hypocrisy.
