Is this cartoon refering to the US public or the US liberal news media?

I can't help but believe that despite the mainscream media's fixation with this minor story, the US public is losing interest, tiring of the hype over something that just doesn't matter.

No doubt it refers to the libeRATs and the leftist "news" media. Election Day is approaching and they are acutely aware that they have no argument whatsoever as to why the people should vote for the RATs rather than against the GOP. Foley is this year's tedious "October surprise", a continuation of their "surprises" that achieved nothing but to provide more evidence that they are clueless asswarts.

Yes, and Barney Frank, most infamously known for buggering a page, conveniently dies and is lauded by all the libs while the mainscream media pretends not to notice. Contrast this with a Republican who is guilty of nothing more than text messaging and they use it to beat the Republicans with, hoping it will alienate their voters into staying home.

Actually, Gerry Studds was the boy-buggerer. And the media are lauding that dead poofter as the patron saint of queerdom. Barney Fag allowed a butt buddy to run a "gay" brothel in his DC townhouse. He's also idolized by the DBM.
