Just learned that I did NOT get the endorsement of the NRA. Never mind that I am probably the only candidate for this office that owns AND regularly shoots a National Firearms Act registered machine gun AND a 50 caliber Smith & Wesson model 500 revolver.
Good plan, don't endorse me, I'd just pass all kinds of new gun control.

Did they say why? Sure sounds strange.

I don't know what the malfunction is but most years we have had a 3 way race in this district and the NRA regularly endorses the *worst* 2nd amendment candidate of the 3.
On those years that the green party makes it a 4 way race the NRA fails to endorse the green candidate so I can't say that they have a continuous unbroken record of always endorsing the most anti-gun candidate, just most of the time.

The only three way race (which you mentioned in another thread) in Texas that NRA shows is in district 22, which is a long way from Mineral Wells. Could it be that they're unaware of you? I don't see how.

Almost all of the Texas districts have a 3 way race. If anything they are sick and tired of me writing to compain about their anti-gun picks every year.

Almost all of the Texas districts have a 3 way race. The NRA site shows only that one three way race (District 22). All other districts show only two candidates.

Could that be the source of confusion?
May I ask what district you are? 13?

The NRA site is obviously not correct. The list of candidates is posted on the secretary of state web page. Yep, thats me, district 13

The unendorsed one on the NRA site? If so, they show a question mark for you, indicating they don't know your stance on 2nd amendment issues. That would explain why they didn't endorse you. Did they send you a questionnaire? I think that's how they derive that info.

My point is that I am not even listed as a candidate on the NRA web page. I know for a fact that there are 100s of Texas candidates not listed.

Ah. Looks like they have a severe lack of information. Strange for an organization that takes pride in keeping up with political issues. Maybe they just ignore the Libertarians. Sure seems like it, though that doesn't make much sense either.
