1. What's your prediction for the elections?
Republican "upset." I think the Republicans are going to retain control of both the House and the Senate, and the Dems will start an investigation.

2. What's your favorite commercial?
. . . cat gotcher tongue? . . . Earl gotcher tongue? [It's one of those cell phone/dropped call commercials, and there's something about the way that guy says it that just makes me laugh out loud.]

3. Do you have any music boxes, & what songs do they play?
No music boxes.

4. What's your favorite Emerson, Lake, & Palmer song?
I don't know who those people are.

5. What TV show would you most want to get on DVD?
The Closer

6. Have you ever ridden a horse?
Yep.

7. Can you whistle?
Yep.

8. Can you float?
Yep.

9. What's your oddest "talent"?
Memory. I have this phenomenal ability to remember all the important things --names, dates, places, as well as the most useless trivia on the planet. Stuff nobody cares about.

10. Do you prefer standard time, or daylight saving time?
I hate DST. I wish they would put it on Standard Time and leave it the hell alone.

1. What's your prediction for the elections?

Ooh, sorry, not into prognostication -- I'm just praying more R's than D's win.

2. What's your favorite commercial?

I usually like the sappy ones -- like the coffee commercial (I think it's Folger's(?), where the young soldier comes home for Christmas and everybody's asleep so he wakes them up by making coffee. Just love the look on the Mom's face when she see's her son -- guess it makes me think of the way I'm going to react when my son comes home from the Navy. (See thread in members forum for explanation.)

3. Do you have any music boxes, & what songs do they play?

Yes, a Christmas one that plays Silent Night. It's a snow globe music box of the Nativity.

4. What's your favorite Emerson, Lake, & Palmer song?

Who? I probably know their song(s), just can't place the group with the song(s).

5. What TV show would you most want to get on DVD?

Star Trek -- ANY and all

6. Have you ever ridden a horse?

Yes.

7. Can you whistle?

Yes.

8. Can you float?

Yes.

9. What's your oddest "talent"?

Hmmm, this one will take some thought -- I'll post when I think of one.

10. Do you prefer standard time, or daylight saving time?

Standard.

2. What's your favorite commercial?

:moo: Right now, it's the Rozerem commercial, where a guy walks into his kitchen to find Abraham Lincoln, a beaver, & an astronaut waiting for him.

Lincoln: Well, hello, sleepyhead.
Guy: I couldn't sleep a wink.
Lincoln: Yes, we know, we've been waiting for you. I have the chess board all set up.
Beaver: He cheats.
Lincoln: HELLO! "Honest Abe"!
Beaver: T'heh! Whatever.

3. Do you have any music boxes, & what songs do they play?

:moo: I have a snowglobe music box, with a Longhorn in the globe. It plays "The Eyes of Texas".

4. What's your favorite Emerson, Lake, & Palmer song?

:moo: "Lucky Man".

5. What TV show would you most want to get on DVD?

:moo: Baywatch.

6. Have you ever ridden a horse?

 No.

7. Can you whistle?

 No.

8. Can you float?

:moo: I used to couldn't, but lately, I've had more success with it.

10. Do you prefer standard time, or daylight saving time?

:moo: Daylight. I have to drive east to get to work, & now that we're on Standard, I have to face the sun, both going to work, & coming home. Besides, I can't stand waiting until after dawn to get my day started.

I wish they would put it on something and leave it alone.

I could live with DST, if they would just put us there and then leave it the hell alone.

For some reason I forgot about the War Room and missed these questions.
 This week's questions:
1. What's your prediction for the elections?
Don't have one.
2. What's your favorite commercial?
Any of the Geico caveman commercials. I also like the Overstock.com commercial that they are currently running. That girl is hot.
3. Do you have any music boxes, & what songs do they play?
I was going to say no, but then I remembered that I have one with a 1956 Ford F-100 going round, that plays "Thank God I'm a Country Boy".
4. What's your favorite Emerson, Lake, & Palmer song?
"C'est La Vie", and a close second would be "From the Beginning".
5. What TV show would you most want to get on DVD?
Maybe Law & Order cause that's one show that I don't have on DVD at all. (Some shows I have on DVD, but I want more seasons of).
6. Have you ever ridden a horse?
Yes, but it's been 24 or 25 years.
7. Can you whistle?
Yes, but not the loud whistle you do with 2 fingers in your mouth.
8. Can you float?
Last I knew. But I haven't been in swimming or gone to any beach or pool in more years than I can remember.
9. What's your oddest "talent"?
I can cross my eyes and make my eyeballs shake, but I just tried now and couldn't do it.
10. Do you prefer standard time, or daylight saving time?
I don't know. I've never been without daylight savings.

I forgot about that one! I love it. I wonder how many people don't get it.
