AP - 2 minutes ago WASHINGTON - Democrats wrested control of the Senate from Republicans Wednesday with an upset victory in Virginia, giving the party complete domination of Capitol Hill for the first time since 1994.

And the Commies are already setting up for the impeachment stuff, or atleast for the first round of beating they're going to give to Bush. I heard that freak Charlie Rengel spin it real good on Cavutos, talking about holding summits, being a responsible Congress.

And Rangel is going to walk to the moon on a golden rainbow.
Unfortunately, the sheeple will never discover what shameless liars and hate-mongers they are, because their ass-covering media toadies will bury the facts.
And in 2008, the same gullible morons that turned the Congress into a sewer will hand the White House back to the RAT scum.

Well, congrats democrats. If you F* up enough the republicans will regain control. And if that's what is required, I'm not sure that the GOP deserves to regain it.

Unfortunately I am unsure of everyone involved with politics right now. New York is now 100% Democreep land. I dont think I can take it. Its depressing feeling like you can't have hope in one single political leader. I swear the only good guy is the Mayor of Newark New Jersey (a democrat:confused: ) and the people there slap him in the face everytime he tries to do something good by being extra violent when thats what he wants to stop.

The President has always said he wants to bring a new tone to Washington. I think the Dems and the msm have just stated: [with heavy Philly accent] 'We got your new tone right here'.
So much for "Compassionate Conservatism" What the Republican party needs is some Reagan Conservatism and true leaders to bring that about; None of this seniority crap for leadership positions. This is the perfect opportunity to reorganize and rebuild. The RINOs need to be told to get conservative or get out. And the message needs to be sent to the McCaines, Guliannis, and Petakis of the party that when it comes to the Republican presidential nomination, those with personality but no conservative substance need not apply. :flame:

I'm in favor of Intelligent Conservatism over "compassionate conservatism", a phrase that has defined the GOP as Clinton-lite on fiscal and social policy.
On fiscal policy, we need to clean up our act on spending, and legislate welfare reform that will give people an incentive to become independent from the government. If the fair tax is unachievable, at least work our way towards a flat tax. We need to become more vigilant towards "class warriors" who will bring nothing but socialism into this country. While it is impossible to wipe out social security in its entirety, we can raise the age as life expectancy continues to increase. Social security was never intended as a substitute for retirement savings.
On social policy, the message is clear - defend the right to bear arms, protect the borders, support the police, cut off therapy for heinous convicts, expand free speech, and defend religious freedom.
The Republicans may have to go back to Nixon-era foreign policy to to take the edge off of their hawkishness. Which would be fine with me - Nixon wasn't dove enough to deny that we had a war to win. He accepted the reality as it was, and fought it effectively as he could. That's not to say that Iraq was the wrong thing to do, but the "Axis of Evil" speech should be re-examined. I am afraid that we sent the wrong message to North Korea and Iran - "We'll invade you unless you have enough nukes to deter us by the time we're finished in Iraq." Have we provoked enemies that we cannot afford to fight? Even if we could, it would hurt the Republicans politically.
After the Iraqi War is completed, I would advise the Republican Party - if they are lucky enough to stay in power - to use military strength to support our closest allies when they are faced with danger. We need credibility as a reliable ally when other free nations are under attack. We need to celebrate our victory by giving the majority of the troops a break.
