Just thought I'd say that before democrats rule it "unconstitutional" and rename it Winter Solstice, or something.

Carry on, now.

Mags,
If I haven't told you before, let me take the time to do so now -- I love you! Absolutely, and a VERY Merry CHRISTmas to you and yours as well. May the Light of His Love shine bright around you, and let His Peace be a stronghold. Thanks for that lift, sweetie, I sure did need it :thumb: .
Many Blessings, Always,

Don't worry Maggie. First, for the "Democrat Rule" to actually MEAN anything, people have to be willing to follow it. I am not now, nor will I ever be willing to do so.

And with the democrats in control, yes, it's gonna hurt, but it's gonna help in the long run.

People will now see that they get exactly what they wish for. The people who believe their "tolerance" is superior to calling a spade a spade, they will get fed up with it as soon as they find the taste of COMPLETE ACCEPTANCE being shoved down their throat 24/7 is so bitter it makes the choke.

They will see what the democrats they think so highly of really ARE.

They will watch as their own vote plunges America into the dark ages.

Democrat women will know the humiliation of having to walk behind their men, and not speak in public unless spoken to. And they will know they have only themselves to blame for the Muslim rule they find themselves under.

Democrat men will know that it's their own fault when their taxes go up to support the Mexican criminals that were not only made legal, but were also made HIS BOSS. And when the democrat man is fired by his new spick boss, so that a mexican brother can take his place, he'll know it was HIS vote that enabled that.

By taking control, democrats are going to be forced to remove the disguise. They're going to be forced to lay themselves bare and show everyone in America what they are TRULY about.

And America will not stand for it.

The revolution is coming boys and girls. Mark my word. And I for one will be glad when it happens.

So that no one is offended:

A Politically Correct Merry C****tmas

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the WINTER SOLSTICE holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

In addition, please also accept best wishes for a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2007, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make this country great (not to imply that this country is necessarily greater than any other country or area of choice), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual orientation of the wishers.

This wish is limited to the customary and usual good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first. " Holiday " is not intended to, nor shall it be considered, limited to the usual Judeo-Christian celebrations or observances, or to such activities of any organized or ad hoc religious community, group, individual or belief (or lack thereof).

Note: By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher at any time, for any reason or for no reason at all. This greeting is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. This greeting implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for the wisher her/himself or others, or responsibility for the consequences which may arise from the implementation or non-implementation of it.

This greeting is void where prohibited by law.

Please check with your physician before accepting this, or any other greetings.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Retailer brings back 'Christmas' marketing

Associated PressLast update: November 09, 2006 – 10:48 AM

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — It is beginning to look a lot more like Christmas at Wal-Mart.
After fumbling marketing for the holidays last year and drawing criticism, the world's largest retailer has decided that "Christmas" will be prominent in its sales effort this year.
For example, it will have "The Christmas Shop," formerly called "The Holiday Shop." Items are being branded with "Christmas" instead of "holiday."

Merry Deguello!

I'm still trying to figure out the meaning to this one WC...

Homes, the context you're displaying, that is, the ZZ Top Album, it's meaning is "To put to the sword", or "No Mercy" (loosely translated). But you are correct, great album, as most ZZ Top's albums are.

It's also the name of a song reportedly played during the storming of the Alamo.

Deh-goo-EH-yo means to slit the throat. And it would apply against the Muslim cowards. They forget it works both ways.

Gonzo,
Yes, I know this. I happen to be a ZZTop fan, and Deguello was my FAVORITE all time. I've never been able to find it on CD -- I wore my cassette out, bought a new one, then wore that one out too. I know it probably goes against the perception(s) of my persona, but some old habits from long ago are hard to break. :smirky:

:icon126: Thank you, Doc. I must admit, I only tried locally, not on the net. "Actually, I was instructed in the pronunciation by an Hispanic co-worker, as: de gwe yo" --Gonzo67

It depends on the phonetic alphabet one uses. Both spellings are pronounced the same. If you see John Wayne's The Alamo, the guy playing Santa Anna pronounces it plain and simple. It also means nobody on the opposing side will be shown mercy.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Yeah! GO WAL-MART!!! :thumb:

I'm in the middle of a huge flame war on another board right now about this Wal-Mart issue, thought most liberals were too good to shop there in any case, consumer's choice.

"Happy Holidays" v. "Merry Christmas" is another one of those cultural war battles the left thinks is petty, but'll fight tooth-and-nail for anyhow. It's a big First Amendment issue to some:

http://www.firstamendmentcenter.org/commentary.aspx?id=17776

For many people on all sides, the argument isn’t really about Christmas songs or Nativity pageants — it’s about who gets to decide what kind of society we are. Schools, after all, are where we define who we are as a nation.

So the issue's not so petty after all? I disagree with the last sentence, but that's the ACLU talkin' there.

Merry Christmas!
