Memo To: the people of 29 Congressional Districts and the citizens of Montana, Virgina, Missouri, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
From: Taxpayers of the 45 other states and 406 Congressional districts.
Subject: Negligent and Criminal Damage to a class action plaintiff
================================================== ==
It has come to our attention that a tiny majority of people in many of your districts and five states decided to change their minds and vote for higher taxes, open borders, amnesty, the collapse of Iraq into fratricide, activist judges hostile to private property, and the prevention of the development of actual energy sources.
We realize that in many cases your States and districts only decided to pursue these policies because of a few thousand votes of "moderates" and "unhappy conservatives". However, as you are responsible as a collective people for the unwarranted policies that severely damaged the rest of us we will be forwarding you the bills for reimbursement. We are projecting costs at the moment, but please anticipate a request for reimbursement for the following intentional damages to our economic well-being and quality of life:
- You are taking money from 100,000,000 innocent households. We are not sure of the total but for a family of four making 50,000 a year they will suffer theft of another $2,500 for "midnight basketball" and the like. Please forward the yearly damages to each family for at least a generation and until further notice.
- You also voted to allow another 2,000,000 a year of indigent 3rd worlder adults, children, and aged grandparents to immigrate to the U.S. They will be lowering wages in our communities, and dramatically increasing social service demands - especially as you wish all public services to be provided. In the short term we will be forwarding the cost of lost wages and increased costs for services to you. However, we are making arrangements to send the additional 2 million immigrants to your five states and districts exclusively, as well as the 13 to 20 million illegals that currently populate our communities. As it is your policy, I am sure you will welcome them.
- You voted against dealing with Social Security, and to avoid letting us keep our earned money to provide for our own retirement. You will be receiving a bill for the tax confiscation and lost investment returns. Given the historic stock market, we believe this will amount to the 13% you already confiscate annually, times the average 6-13% annually lost investment returns. You ought to start your reimbursement forthwith, as it will cost your States several trillion over the next generation.
- We will also be forwarding you bills for stolen property through eminent domain...these bills will include the profits given to the developers and the costs of losing businesses and quality of life.
- We are not sure what the costs will be for other losses suffered. Naturally their will be costs from more terrorism, frivolous lawsuits, global warming regulations, small business closures, minimum wage increases, a economic slowdown or downturn, and the decline in our quality life. Moreover, as one-payer socialized medical care will be required in the near future, there will be many tort claims for poor care and/or increased taxes to fund the system. Please anticipate several trillion more in future bills for these items.
I expect that you will be startled by these claims, and protest that you did not intend your vote to promote this kind of "new direction". If so, perhaps you should not be voting. None the less, we did not ask for this tragic and widespread damage, you did. And if you asked for it, you should get it.
We look forward to a positive response. If not, please be aware we are prepared exert our own claims to "social justice" (a favorite term of your new found friends) to file a class action suit on behalf of the 100,000,000 families who did not vote as you did and should not have to punished for your shameful blunder.
We are sure, however, you will delight in your "new direction"...so much so you will pay the costs happily.
Sincerely,
American Taxpayers
P.S. A personal note, I am retired and on a fixed income. I paid far more than the average tax rate when I was employed but became partially disabled. In that time, I paid many times more for the few services provided. I paid all my taxes, had few deductions, and saved the remainder. I paid into my retirement plan. I only attended a public college a few years, and took no loans or grants. I have no children, and have little use for most public services that I have paid for in 37 years. The police have never caught a person that stole from me, I never participated in public recreation and welfare programs (well, I once got $60.00 worth of food stamps, but I think I covered that) , and have little interest in Cinco De Mayo parades, free public clinics, free adult vocational and literacy programs, our money losing public port facilities, non-teaching tenured professors and public universities, public TV, protecting Internet Child Porn, or funding sports stadiums for private organizations. Other than keeping the roads paved, most of your public confiscations are for others who do not pay and profit at my expense.
I would be most happy if you pay my increased tax bills first. You will be taking another $1200.00 in income tax, and $500 a year in my investment in the American economy. As this is a serious blow to my budget, please forward $1900 as soon as possible. I will continue to pay for other services I do not use as a gesture of good will.
I will give a 10% discount on reimbursement if you prepay for my remaining 25 years; otherwise you owe the total in direct tax damages (in today's money) $47,500.
