He just confirmed it. Subpoenas are going to be flying, the first order of business when we reorganize after the first of the year is congressional oversight. I told you. (I hate to be an "I told you so.") I told you this yesterday. All of these investigations and subpoenas are going to take place under that umbrella of congressional oversight which, "Nothing wrong with accountability, Mr. Limbaugh, this is something that we traditionally do here in the US Congress. We're all professionals here, and there has to be oversight. We need to look into this more. We need to look into the intelligence agencies. We need to look into the big agencies here where they had an effect on New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina. There hasn't been any oversight. By the way, Mr. Limbaugh, don't confuse oversight with investigations. This is a healthy process."
These folks have no interest in oversight. Oversight is the technique. Oversight is the umbrella. Oversight is the mask and the camouflage that will mislabel. These are going to be full-fledged investigations, and it doesn't matter how bipartisan the president promises to be, because we had a caller that said they hate me -- and they do, but they hate Bush. They hate Bush. They hate Bush, and they are going to do whatever they can to pay him back and dispatch him back to Crawford as disrespected as they can. They got payback on their mind for Clinton, and they have this in mind for everybody they think stands in their way.
Let me tell you something, folks. Andrew McCarthy... (This is not me saying this.) My buddy Andy McCarthy quoting a statement from some Democrat today. I'll get it here in the next hour, after reading it I italicized the important part of it, said (paraphrased), "You know what? These people are Maoists, just like Mao, as in Tse-tung, mass murderer of millions, not comparing it that way, the permanent campaign." He says Maoist. I call them Stalinists. People don't understand that who don't understand how Stalin and his boys operated. We're not talking about famine or mass murder. It's just they go after their enemies and it's not defeating them. It is destroying them. It is wiping them out, including payback. You dare to stand up to the Stalinists and you paid the price and so did your family, stand up to these guys when they get the chance. They're going in and he just admitted it: "Oh, of course, why, I think first order of business, oversight. There hasn't been enough oversight." Stand by, folks. We'll see how the American people react to that, by the way, when it starts.
