I have been feeling lower than a snake's belly in a wagon rut since Nov 7, but as the election recedes into the past, I have decided to look forward.

Yes, the GOP lost the Congress, but the in-power party retaining its control in a mid-term election, particulary in the president's second term, is the exception. The odds were against keeping it.

It was not a "mandate" about Iraq. If it were, Ned Lament would have soared to victory in Connecticut. It was the result of six years of the stentorian, mind-numbing drumbeat of psychotic hatred of George W. Bush from the RATs and their pawns in the leftist MSM. They vowed in 2000 to destroy him for having the temerity to win over that tree-hugging lunatic, AlBore. And they redoubled their efforts when he beat the horse-faced traitor in '04.

If Bush had arranged for every American to receive a million dollars, the MSM scuzzballs would have attacked him for not dispensing it in crisp new bills. NOTHING that he could have done would have even slightly affected their blind, consuming hatred of him.

A relentless barrage of destroy-Bush propaganda from arguably the world's most worthless, most brazenly biased "news" organizations could not fail to affect the people. It's arguable that those who voted for DemonRATs were outnumbered by those who voted against the grotesque, media-created caricature of George W. Bush.

We lost the battle. So what's next? If we just curl up in a dark corner, sucking our thumbs and whining pitifully, they will also win the war. I for one have resolved that permanently handing my country over to that gang of liars and traitors, solely because we ran into a setback, is totally unacceptable.

And HOW did they win this skirmish? In many cases, their candidates feigned being as conservative as their opponents, if not more so. None of them won by running as a liberal. The liberals succeeded because they carefully concealed their liberalism. Now that they are seated, they must shed their masks and reveal themselves as what they really are, the lackeys of the left-wing extremists that control the party.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

As Rush often says, conservatism wins every time it's tried. And it will win again, if conservatives don't abandon their principles. "O woe is us, for we are undone!" is not a formula for success. Remember that when one falls on his face, he's still closer to his goal than he was when he tripped. Lying there bitching about the taste of dirt achieves nothing. Standing up, brushing off the dust and resuming the journey is what ultimately succeeds.

We know what the RAT bastards intend to do for the next two years. It will be the same thing that they've tried to do for the last six years: destroy Bush and the GOP. They've made that very clear. They're going to do it very publicly. And they'll be doing it while our fighting forces are in harm's way. Is that a formula for political success? Hell, no, but they are too obsessed with their war against Bush to give a shit what happens in 2008. They live in the Now Bubble, the day-by-day way of thinking that ignores the long-term consequences in favor of the immediate, transitory gains.

What can our side do? First, start hammering on the Pubs in Congress, and holding their feet to the fire. Put immense pressure on the GOP leadership to take the RINOs aside and read the riot act to them: vote with us or find yourself on the Committee for Swabbing the Shithouse Toilets. No RINO belongs in a position of authority.

Second, let them know in no uncertain terms that sucking up to the RATs will not bode well for their reëlection chances. If they can't respond to the wishes and the wills of the majority of Americans who are conservative, then we'll be looking for candidates with balls and backbones.

Third, demand that the RNC fish or cut bait. Its inefficacy was glaring this year. As but one example, the delightful bimbo ad against Ford was yanked by the RNC after the RATs whined about it. "Oh, golly gosh, please excuse us. We're SO sorry that we offended you! Will blow jobs be acceptable?"

I stopped donating to the RNC years ago when it became obvious that it was a branch office of the DNC. They won't get another penny from me until they throw away the water balloons and stock up on grenades. The premise of the RNC is to support Republican candidates, not to suck up to the RATs in order to be liked. The RNC needs someone at the helm who has a lust for the taste of blood gushing from the ripped jugulars of RATs, and who laughs maniacally when the RATs scream in agony. The more the RATs and their MSM boot-lickers wail and screech about the RNC, the more effective it will be.

Fact time: the RNC under Mehlman (who is wisely quitting) lost; the DNC under Screamin' Dean won. Need anything else be said?

Fourth, stop listening to the "concerns" of RATs and the MSM that such and such a thing will harm the GOP's chances. If the sons of bitches believed that, they'd be supporting it wholeheartedly. Doom's Law #2: Never take medical advice from someone who wants you dead.

Fifth, stop trying to appeal to everyone. It can't be done. The RATs have their reliable minority voting blocs and they cannot be swayed. Ignore them and concentrate on the REAL people of America. Doom's Law #5: Whenever there's a big tent, it's almost certain that it signifies a circus.

Sixth, stop trying to be liked by your enemies. Doom's Law #8: You can't buy love, happiness or the approval of liberals.

Seventh, tax increases might look good to politicians, but tax cuts look good to voters.

Eight, Big Government is a RAT thing. It's time to trim the fat.

Nov 7, 2006 wasn't the rebirth of the RAT party. It was a minor detour. It was just a last gasp before it sinks. Before 2008, the RATS are going to provide a refresher course in why the people threw them out in 1994. We have two years to prepare to assist in their suicide. Lamenting about the election being the doom of the GOP is counterproductive. It's akin to missing a turn and wailing, "Now we're lost forever! Let's just park here and die!"

F**K THAT! As a resident of Massholechusetts, I know only too well what happens when libeRATs have unstoppable power. Trust me on this: no American wants that to happen to their nation.

We conservatives NEVER say die, and most bloody certainly not now, when the enemies of America are obsessed with destroying it. As the old saying goes, "Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way."

I said it somewhere else, Doc. I'm not going to be like the Dummycrats after 2004 where they whined, cried and increased their hatred, never offering solution, only blame. Rather, I will continue to offer solution and not just bitch.

I challenge any Dummycrat to offer a solution to any problem. Remember, the economy IS doing well right now (take a look at the stock market and the low unemployment numbers if you need proof). And don't tell me that we need to reason with terrorists because that never has worked and never will. If you offer something of substance, I will listen. If you wish to name call, insult or just cry, don't even bother.
