Well fellow FC'ers the holiday season is upon us. Just wanted to wish every one a safe and happy thanksgiving. I have quite a busy week ahead of me starting tomorrow. Going to see the trans siberian orchestra and then wednesday cooking dinner for about 25 people. The tradition continues. Well as I said before, have a wonderful thanksgiving and enjoy the time with family. It seems that in this day in age, family is becoming less important, but it doesn't have to be that way. Even if you see each other twice a year, enjoy the time you are together. Cause family is what really matters.

Thanks, USP. I hope your Thanksgiving day is great, as well. Next year I want an invite to your house. I'll tell my twenty five that they're own their own. They'll just have to fend for themselves.

Thanksgiving.....the official beginning of the season where I'm a Grinch! Nothing like listening to family bickering from Thanksgiving to New Years. Wake me up when its over!

While we should be in thanksgiving every day of the year, I'm still glad there is a season to openly remind us that despite the circumstances around us, we have much to be thankful for. That first Thanksgiving half the people had died, the winter had been harsh, life was not easy, and yet, they still thanked their Heavenly Father for the bounty He had bestowed, the provision He provided, and the peace that passes all understanding. I would suggest instead of looking for the physical things in life for which we are grateful, that we instead think of all those intangibles that make life worth living -- the gleam in your child's eye when they do something for the first time and master it, the feel of your pets fur after they wiggle up to you to say hello, the sound of your spouse's, family's, friend's or loved one's voice when they call you on the phone, the love of a Father for His child expressed through the beauty and majesty of the land around us.

I am thankful this day, also, for my freecer friends, whom I've come to feel are family. I don't have much physical family around me, or here on earth, but I do feel a kindred spirit among many here. May the Lord richly bless each and every one of you with those special moments that only He can provide.

Peace and Love be with you all,
Many Blessings,
Hms

Dad....? Is that you?

Probably not but if you were in my place you would understand. I do manage to soften myself up with a few stiff drinks though.

Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I couldn’t sleep
I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned-- the dark meat and white,
But I fought the temptation with all of my might.
Tossing and turning with anticipation,
The thought of a snack became infatuation.
So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door
And gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.
I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
Till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.
I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky
With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie
But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees...
"Happy eating to all---pass the gravy, please....
May your stuffing be tasty, your turkey be plump.
Your potatoes 'n gravy have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious, your pies take the prize.
And may your Thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs.''

Happy Thanksgiving to all as we celebrate yet another Holiday season.
Giving thanks for all God's goodness and blessings, especially the blessing of our Savior, God's "indescribable gift" to us!

A fellow Chief's fan I see! We did well and I thought we would. I still have a dream to see a game in Arrowhead one day, preferably a Monday night game agains either Oakland or Denver.
