Sorry, we can't.
James Baker said so.
So did Nancy and Harry.
And the media-fed electorate.
Too bad.
America just fukked itself.

There's no doubt that Israel CAN and WILL bomb key nuclear facilities in Iran. Soon.

They will, but they needn't. The Muzzies are gonna implode here before long. Still, it doesn't hurt to hit 'em anyway.

hah! wrong.
too many sites and they'd have to get "our" ok to do so as we control the air space en route to Iran...unless they are up for suicide missions

Which is why I said "cut their leash." Besides, if Israel wanted to blast Iran bad enough, they would, with or without our blessings.

I like the Israeli foreign policy attitude. Not much else about Israel TO like, but I do like their stay-alive attitude.

At Least some of these people should have rudimentary common Horse sense! I don't know exactly what happened, but the CFR members of the commission came up with an incredible amount of political correctness.
I thought these people were supposed to be smarter than that and above any obiescence to political correctness,
OOPS, I was speaking of Baker and his political secondaries......not the Israelis who have their heads on straight and deal with the reality of the situation!

Nice try. But when they bombed Hussein's reactor they had to fly all the way across Jordan there AND on the way back. And they didn't lose one plane. (They didn't get Jordan's permission) Nor did the U.S. have any idea what the Israelis were up to until after the fact - mission accomplished.
Don't underestimate the Israelis, Saddam.

Agreed. And the crazier and more unstable America's leadership is seen to be, the less likely they'll give a damn about our blessing. And that could, conceivably, spell trouble for more of the ME than just Iran.

It will take another hit on American soil to wake this nation up enough to silence the stupidity that spews from the MSM. Most Americans just don't get it even now.

No, Bold Fighter is correct. Israel was able to cross over Jordan because the Jordanians didn't have an air-defense network worth squat; they could cross with impunity. On the other hand we DO have solid control over Iraqi airspace. More importantly though is BF's first point about 'too many sites'. The Iranians learned from the bombing of the Osiraq reactor to spread out their facilities and likely have buried a good number of them. Israel can't hope to get them all (although they could hit a few and set the Iranians back a few extra years i'm sure).

Plus if they did so the IAEA would be banned. Sure they hide some from them, but not all of their shenanigans. Something will work this out, probably involving force but it won't be so easy as lots of the good folks around here seem to think. Have faith, and don't rush to conclusions with this one because it's a bit larger than other situations. We've empowered these guys like nothing else by eliminating so many of their enemies and giving power to their friends in Iraq.

Israel can't hope to get them all Sure it can. Don't mean she will, but she can hope. Plus, I don't think the Iranians are as close to a nuke as everybody seems to think. Plus, I don't think they're as smart as cerb credits them being. Plus, when they do get a nuke they'll be so proud they'll go announcing it, thus giving its whereabouts away. Plus, there was something else but I can't remember what it was.

Air defense? The Israelis flew so low, and around (they did their homework) air defenses, that it didn't matter. Even so, the Israelis were spotted by none other than King Jordan who happened to catch the Star of David insignias as they flew over his yacht as he was vacationing. They tried to warn the Iraqis - I forget what the Iraqis response was. So, after that and the fact that the Jordanians went to full alert after the bombing the Israelis still avoided the air defenses and Jordanian fighters on their home avoiding any losses in spite of the distance and the fact that they were UNARMED.
Such an attack on multiple targets in Iran could be achieved by either flying over unoccupied areas of Iraq or using a staging area elsewhere to avoid that altogether.
Again, I point out the simple fact that U.S. intelligence had no idea that such a plan was in place one year before it was carried out. Such would be the case here.
Finally, by either using aircraft or conventional missilesto take out several sites, not only does Israel set their plans back a few years, they show the Iranians our serious they are, which will lead the Iranians to believe them when they say that if you don't cease your activities you can look forward to seeing a mushroom cloud over Tehran and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it.
That's diplomacy.

No, idiot. The History Channel, or was it The Military Channel? had a special called 'Raid on the Reactor'. They had an Israeli pilot, Reagan officials, Iraqis, Jordanians, etc. recalling the incident.
Thanks for playing. :D

. . . The History Channel, or was it The Military Channel? . . .
History Channel. May have been on the other as well, but the History Channel is where I saw it.
It is well worth seeing again, and maybe they'll rerun it soon. They rerun everything. Again and again and again.
I think I've see Big Alaska for the fourth or fifth time.
Oh, well . . .
Beats the calp-trap on the other hundred or so channels . . .
Bottom line: one of these damned Muzzies is going to put one toe too many over the line, and for Israel it will be the breaking point.
You doubters and non-believers can take this to the bank: When Israel gets fed up, says Screw The Muslim Street And The United Nations, and sets things in motion, the United States of America will be a much safer place.
Go Israel!!!
Go IDF!!!
