Democrats used to suck up to the Communists when they were a real force, so it's not surprising to see someone like "Damascus" Bill Nelson heading over to the Middle East to collaborate with a terrorist supporting regime like Syria. Supposedly, there are other senators also planning to head over and chat with their Syrian Pals, including John Kerry and (Gag) Arlen Specter.

What exactly was the point of this trip? The White House opposed Nelson's visit and if America makes the decision to have talks with Syria, the President should be the one making the decision. Moreover, Nelson doesn't make foreign policy and Syria supports Hezbollah, a terrorist group that has killed Americans. Additionally, the Syrians will take this as a sign that American is divided and too weak to confront them.

What the point of the trip was is troubleing. It could have many different points, one of which is a traitorous agreement.

The democrats want to roll Israel.

James Baker, Jimmuh Carter, Dick Durbin etc. etc.

A right of return and all that.

Then everything will get real nice and cozy and peaceful and cuddly like kittens tumbling around licking each other in a wicker basket.

This is a complete breech of the separation of powers... Foreign policy and diplomacy is handled by the Executive branch... This man should be censored for this act... It has only one purpose and that is to bypass and undermine the authority of the President... In my mind this is an act of treason...:flame:

Reuters reports John Kerry went to Egypt and is also going to Syria. He told the Egyptians he felt more discussion should have taken place prior to the war so we would have better understood the people and the situation and maybe prevented the war. Didn't he vote for the war? I'm sure that was before he voted against it though.

Neville Chamberlain is apparently the hero of the left.

Has there ever been a time in human history where appeasement has worked?
