Look around you...
When the U.S. is trespassed upon at will by 15 million to 30 million illegal aliens, our border troops are under orders to flee from their posts if attacked, and the only thing upon which President Bush and Speaker Nancy Pelosi agree is the need for amnesty for brazen masses of immigration criminals, it would be easy to say that America has a de facto policy of open borders.
But upon reflection, it must be admitted that our current corruption is worse than open borders

Of course the maggots with authority here who allow the borders to stay open, are worse.:flame:

Maggots?
They are collaborators. They have a nice little Vichy type government and enjoying it.
So tell me, where is President Bush coming from? Wouldn't this come under "protecting America"? We know Muslims work covertly to plan terror attacks, so why is our southern border wide open, for anyone who wants to, to come into this country? Turning a blind eye to border security is NOT protecting this country. Bush is a nice guy? Why didn't he pardon those railroaded border patrol agents? We're talking about a dozen years in prison. It's IMMORAL. I don't think there's any conservative who wouldn't have pardoned these guys. So tell me, where's Bush coming from? :lame:

Re-read my post #2, RED. I see nothing but public servants in our government. Some with more authority than others. All of them capable of being corrupted by power, money, or both.

I have no idea why Bush is so blind to this issue. I heard that Tony Snow was asked if the BP agents would be pardoned and he said that they didn't know anything about it. That's an out and out lie, because he's been approached by members of Congress and has been presented with petitions to pardon those men.
He's afraid of offending his friends south of the border. I don't know why any politician is ignoring the growing menace but they are with very few exceptions. Not only ignoring it, but encouraging it.
It would be a monumental act of deliberate ignorance on the part of Washington to fail to protect our borders on a par with Marie Antoinette ignoring the starving of France and telling them to eat cake when they have no bread. I cannot believe that no member of Congress or Senate does not know that we are at war with mexico in all but formal declaration.
This all-important issue is again on the back-burner. That's right where Bush likes it because he has no intention, and never did have any intention to secure the border. It's not just a mistake. It is criminal.
Now we must listen to surrender monkeys undermining a new strategy to get the Iraq situation under control. Whatever happens in Iraq, we'll only be privvy to MSM spin on the situation, so that means, we still won't know a thing. I firmly believe, had it not been for the these defeatists empowering the Islamists, this war will be well in hand.

Red you are correct. Absolutely correct. There was a reason why Al Quaeda claimed victory when the democrats won. They were, their party finally got control.
