Sign-Language Teacher Gets 90 Days in Jail for Sex With 16-Year-Old Student

WEST JORDAN, Utah — A judge went beyond the recommended sentence and ordered 90 days in jail Wednesday for a former sign-language teacher who had sex with a 16-year-old student.

"I abhor what you have done here," 3rd District Judge Stephen Roth told Melinda Lee DeLuca, 30.

In an agreement with prosecutors, DeLuca last year pleaded guilty to attempted forcible sexual abuse, a third-degree felony.

Thirty-year-old Melinda Lee Deluca told police she came home Friday afternoon and was alone when she was jumped from behind. Police said she was beaten so badly that she was flown by medical helicopter to the hospital from her home in South Jordan.

“It does appear that this is related to the incident in West Jordan with her teaching position at Copper Hills High School," said Lt. Matt Evans with the South Jordan Police Department. "It doesn't appear to be a random event.”

The sound of Bolero pulsing in the background, getting louder and louder. The smell of fresh apricots cut from their skin, the elegant fruity aroma dancing between their lips.

Finally, the teacher, in the middle of a sign language pop quiz reaches out her hand to touch his. Its a tender moment. She takes her palm and holds it out, fanning her fingers open. He places his hand directly on hers like convicts touching each other through bulletproof glass. They stare for minutes at a time directly into each other's eyes in this very way, the intimacy growing.

Finally, continuing with her sign language instruction, she removes her hand and makes the universal 'okay' sign with her left hand, forming a circular ring with her thumb and forefinger. Then, she takes her right hand and jabs through it with her other forefinger. She does this several times, jabbing and jabbing. This is sign language at its most sexy.

The boy is overcome with her hand demonstration... and yet... still not getting it, they decide on charades. One word or two he asks? She says 'one' nodding her head excitedly. Good. First letter starts with...?

And so it goes. Needless to say the sex wasn't easy. Every move had to be ASL'd first. By the time they were done, both were exhausted and their hands swollen like baseball gloves.

this is insane the amount of these stories that have been popping up the last couple of years. and with every one that appears the more convinced i am that it is feminism that created the right conditions for this explosion of insane behavior by these female teachers.
