Nah. He's never sorry. He just gets mad that nobody agrees with him.

I had a Beagle like that. He'd put on that face whenever he wanted to make us feel guilty -- usually for not feeding him, or not feeding him on time, or not feeding him enough, or not feeding him something he wanted (and it was our responsibility to figure that out). Also when he wanted to come in -- he'd get on the front porch and jump up on the window ledge and just look in with that very look.

That was some dog. He adopted us, just showed up one day and made it plain it was our duty to feed him. Which we did. After 3-4 months he disappeared for a coupla months. We thought he was gone forever, but one day there he was in the window. Stuck around another while and disappeared again. This happened over and over as long as we lived there. When he saw us moving away, he preferred to stay in that neighborhood where he obviously had several other folks on his hook.

Best grifter I ever saw.
