WASHINGTON - Sen. John McCain sought to weaken support for a resolution opposing President Bush's war strategy Sunday, saying proponents are intellectually dishonest.

On the eve of a possible congressional showdown on Iraq strategy, McCain contended the bipartisan proposal amounted to a demoralizing "vote of no confidence" in the U.S. military.

The measure criticizes Bush's plan to add 21,500 troops in Iraq yet offers no concrete alternatives, he said.More at Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070205/ap_on_go_co/us_iraq_104)

Yeah, they're dishonest. That's been known since about 1975. John McCain, on the other hand, has been dishonest since about, when, 1967?

I dislike McCain overall with a passion... but I do give him credit for suggesting that we need more troops.
