LA is kissing gang asses. Drastic times call for drastic actions. Lock the city down and wipe out the gangs, no questions, no hesitation, no mercy. Kill every fuggng one of the scumbags, and annihilate their "headquarters". And then expand it to every city that is infected with those hideous parasites.

The article is about setting up task forces to find out what the gangs want and how best to give it to them.

These root issues needed to be addressed as part of a solution to gang violence in the United States and elsewhere, he said.



This is the same type of thinking that gave us midnight basketball games, and a break dancing competition to end the Blood/Crips feud.



Better education for those who refuse to attend school. Job opportunities for those who refuse to work. The most laughable, the connection between poverty and gang membership. When my friend's daughter, Cheryl Green was murdered a few weeks ago, Police Chief Bratton and Maywhore Vivalaraza appeared for a photo op at the site of the murder vowing to crack down on gang violence by building a new state of the art recreation center in the neighborhood where latinos are killing blacks as part of their ethnic cleansing program. They asked (begged) for a moratorium on killing blacks to be signed at the corner grocery where blacks haven't been able to go for years upon pain of being instantly shot to death. The gang leaders didn't show up for the signing. Instead, that night, they shot another black guy. The outraged city officials approved the rec center in a show of good faith.

This is like leaving food out for wild animals in the hope that they will stop invading the campsite.

I'm reading it differently...not as how to give gangs what they want, but what to do so that the kids don't joing gangs. Whether or not the proposed solutions work isn't really relevent.

But they didn't have money before they joined the gang...they were poor, they wanted lots of money without working for it, and joined a gang. That's not laughable, it's what happens. Waiting until kids join gangs and locking them up or killing them then is idiotic. Trying to provide alternatives, and then severly punishing those who don't take the alternatives makes more sense. Which is the better solution: Leaving your food out and then shooting the wild animals when they come, or securing your food so the animals aren't attracted in the first place and keeping a gun just in case they come anyway?
