This time, they will encounter a buzz saw of Vietnam veterans and supporters who will gather to protect the Wall, and show their support for U.S. troops. If enough of them show up, they could block access to The Wall as well as access to the Pentagon.

All the years that I lived in Richmond, I only got to be up in Northern Virginia once to see Rolling Thunder in action --a small part of it from where I got to stand and watch.

I always thought it would be the thrill of lifetime to be on the back of one of those bikes as they were pulling away from the Pentagon to go roaring across Memorial Bridge.

Other than seeing Merle Haggard in person, I just didn't think there would be many thrills left in life after riding with Rolling Thunder.

Just heard from a friend that the off-duty motorcycle club known as The Blue Knights will be there to defend The Wall.I do not have positive confirmation of that nor the number of club members.
