WASHINGTON — Two bloggers hired recently by Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards were criticized this week by a Catholic group for posts they had written elsewhere on the Internet.

Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, demanded that Edwards fire Amanda Marcotte and Melissa McEwan.

"John Edwards is a decent man who has had his campaign tarnished by two anti-Catholic, vulgar, trash-talking bigots," Donohue said in a written statement. "He has no choice but to fire them immediately."

The Edwards campaign declined to comment. McEwan and Marcotte did not respond to e-mails requesting a response.Source (http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/nation/02/08/8edwards.html)

Imagine, if you will, had a Republican blogger committed the offense? The stench of liberal hypocrisy is wafting heavily in the air...

I seem to recall a story from 2004 about a case he litigated where he claimed to speak to the dead or something?

He, er, "channeled" a dead spirit in the courtroom. Made you wanna puke -- in his face.

Miss Cleo with a pecker. Mustuh practiced his thousand mile stare from pop star Michael Bolton. Little bit of the crazy eyes where yer not really looking at anybody, just staring right thru people. Makes female jurors real batshit horny.

The best part about channeling dead people is when the emotional scarring is still fresh, like at the funeral, and you tell the bereaved, 'Yes, your loved one is trapped inside my rib cage and trying to get out!' Then you place both hands on your t-shirt and rip it off like Hulk Hogan, eyelids fluttering all the while, and scream something in Arabic.

It really works up the emotions.

And the people after the funeral all come up to me thanking me and then tell me how it helped them 'work through' their grief. I'm real good at getting all 6th Sense on people.
