View Full Version : Supermodels: "Women Designed by Homosexuals"

Fred's back:
[ QUOTE ]
I worry about movie stars. A website somewhere shows photos of presumed hot tickets in make-up, and then in candid shots in the street. They run from ordinary to ugly. Some have the allure of golf bags, especially the ones trying to look thirty years younger with what seem to be injection-molded cosmetics. (http://www.fredoneverything.net/Grocery.shtml)
What’s the social undercurrent here? Strap in: We’re about to probe a dark rivulet of the collective unconscious. In the groc-tabs, it’s not “Miss Jennifer Lopez” or “Mr. Scott Peterson.” It’s J.Lo and Scott, with the easy familiarity of a high-school sleep-over. The product here is artificial entré. If you’re forty pounds overweight, lonely or wishing you were, and stuck in some boring low-level job at the post office where you can’t even shoot people any longer – why, the Enquirer will put you on a first-name basis with glamorous over-promoted nonentities. For only $2.99, you can do a line of coke with Sylvester, or share a Cellulite Experience with Demi.
Television. That’s what does it. It makes people in trailer parks, which for practical purposes is most of us, think life ought to amount to more than feeding the mortgage monster and bailing ungrateful kids out of whatever disaster they’ve most recently managed to create. In 1900, before television, nobody expected life to be fulfilling. And it wasn’t. You could depend on it. Unless of course you thought it was fulfilling to lead a decent life and raise your kids happily in a small town in Missouri.
You didn’t have any knowledge of the rich and useless. You knew they were out there, like malaria and the chupacabras, but you didn’t have to look at them.
Now the lobotomy box rubs the aggregate face in the rompings of the California glitz kennel, where every guy is a hunk and every gal a babe, by definition golden and happy and smiling, and off to Paris by private jet to interminable gratification.
So people without jets think ponder their lives and think, Is this all there is? Yep.
I don’t understand supermodels either. But the tabs love them. Face it: They’re a mess. They’ve got no breasts, no hips, and no fannies, and walk as if they had something wrong with their feet. You’ve heard crossed eyes? They’ve got crossed ankles. Imagine that a mad Japanese scientist tried to design a human robot and came reasonably close. Or think of women designed by homosexuals.
The poor creatures prance down the runways wearing funny-looking clothes that no real woman would let her dog sleep on, looking pouty and sullen like spoiled adolescents—and they become celebrities. Yes. Everywhere women stop eating: They too want to look like broom handles. I don’t get it.
Super-modeldom is probably treatable. Force-feed them Big Macs with lots of Secret Sauce, give them estrogen supplements, and tell them to drop the snotty expression or you’ll drown them.
The Weekly World News is what really worries me. They should put something in the ink that sterilizes anyone who reads it. May 13: “Viking Frozen in Block of Ice,” plus, “Eight-Year-Old Pianist Has 14 Fingers.” Probably from West Virginia. “Ancient Egyptians Invented Baseball.” I picture Tutankhamen sliding into home, spikes high, while an intermittently swooning Nefertete chomps hotdogs in the stands.
Who reads this stuff? I don’t want names. A phylum will do.
I can understand, barely, reading about the cellulite of some talentless twit who may have been cute twenty years go, but probably wasn’t. Given a choice, I’d rather pound my thumb with a claw-hammer, but I’m a curmudgeon. But movie stars actually exist to an extent. You might want to know something about them. Scientists study those weird funguses on the damp sides of trees that get all orange and purple and goopy. Demi’s cellulite can’t be much worse.
But… “Gal Keeps Hubby’s Corpse in the House”? You can hear the far-off mournful tolling of the bell curve.
I mean, do people actually believe this stuff? “Satan and Saddam Were Partners—and This Picture Proved It!” A Photo-Shopped picture of a cloud over Baghdad with a diabolic visage, in need of braces, peering from it. Sure, an obvious plant by the Bush administration, probably straight from Ari Fleischer, the White House ventriloquist. If you can’t have anthrax, go with a demon, I say. . . .(continued)

"I mean, do people actually believe this stuff? "
Un-politically-correct observation I've made over the years: there really are smarter people and dumber people. I don't mean more or less educated. I don't mean better or worse learning opportunities. I mean genetically stupid. There are just some people who are dim-witted. They just are. And they lap up The National Enquirer, Just For Laughs, Survivor, American Idol........
Sad but true.

Neither do I. In all my world travels, and yes there have been a lot thanks to the military, I have never found a place where this happens. I think the author must have been reading those same tabloids if he truly believes there is such a place where women stop eating, and that they all want to look like broom handles.

The plague of bulimia is not made up, Rhino, nor the fact that the fashion industry is dominated by homosexuals at the top.
Stick figure fashion models have been the norm since Twiggy.

Sorry Glen, the "women are being driven to harm themselves by the patriarchy's ideal of skinny figures" claim is another feminist un-truth.
Here's the truth: ( http://www.obesity.org/subs/fastfacts/Obesity_Minority_Pop.shtml )
The large majority - 2/3 to 3/4 - of women are overweight. The number of women overweight has increased significantly in every ethnic group over the last couple of decades of "media exposure". A greater percentage of women than men (almost twice as many among African Americans) are not just overweight but outright obese.
Conversely, ( http://www.anorexiabulimia.net/ ) :
"it is estimated that by the time they reach high-school age, 1 out of 100 girls has anorexia"
"By the time they reach college, 2% of all women will have Anorexia in the United States."
In other words, far from this evil world of skinny model media driving women to emaciation, 30% - 50% of women are fat sloths while only a tiny 1% to 2% suffer from anorexia.

Oh, Lord, Jac, the BMI chart itself is anorexic!
a BMI of 25? Do you know what that means?
I have known men and women who lifted weights in the service who had not an inch of fat on them but were just heavy in muscle mass, and they were overweight by these charts. They had to periodically get water displacement tests to show that they were not fat.
The BMI chart is proof of what I am talking about, of course they think the country is overweight!

Well, a guy 6'3" weighing 220lbs has a BMI of 27.5. That would be just about the weight of a well built lean muscular bodybuilder guy. BUT, bodybuilders make up, what, less than 10% of the population?
For the vast majority of people, that mass is made up of flab. Think of it, the same mass as a bodybuilder, but with fat in the place of muscle. That's the majority of the population.

You're probably right, but I know some decent looking gals who have BMIs over 25, I'm sure.
Our whole society is obsessed with being thin, and most dont know it, but being underweight by one pound is worse than being overweight by two pounds.

...the "women are being driven to harm themselves by the patriarchy's ideal of skinny figures" claim is another feminist un-truth.
[/ QUOTE ]
is untrue only where men are concerned. No man EVER idealized skinny women. None of the ones I knew/know. That, yes, is another idiocy from the feminazis who always want to blame everything on men.
Women are driven to harm themselves by WOMEN's ideal of skinny figures. It's women and women alone who are obsessed by weight. My husband dislikes skinny women almost as much as he dislikes fat ones.
My sister is naturally model-thin; she takes after my father's family, all tall and thin. Growing up with that was no picknick, let me tell you. We were always compared and, needless to say, I was never favored by said comparisons. They used to call us Don Quixote and Sancho, with me playing the part of Sancho, of course. Remember, this was way before political correctness. I was never obsese, but compared to my sister I was always 'fatty,' 'chubby,' 'dumpling,' etc. Adolescence is bad enough without that kind of aggravation, so you can imagine what I went through. Most of my friends were perpetually on diets and my sister was everybody's idol.
Women are a bit more sensible these days, but not much. Especially in big cities, they all still strive to be like models. My husband's theory is that since fashion designers are always fags, they favor models with, er, boyish figures, if you get his drift.

People who are skinny don't eat enough oreo cookies, those who are fat eat too many and those who are the perfect weight only eat the center...
LOL...I'll have to start just eating the centers then.

You may have a different definition of plague. He said "Everywhere women stop eating" and that is not true, unless maybe you live in Hollywood. He also said they (women) want to look like broom handles too, which is also patently false. Do these things happen to some women somewhere? Sure they do. But do all women in general experience these things as he suggests? Not hardly

nor the fact that the fashion industry is dominated by homosexuals at the top.

I wasn't really addressing that. I honestly could care less about the fashion industry or who is at the top of it, like most Americans (including women).

Yep, and most American women have dismissed them since before Twiggy.

Where have you met all these women? The moon? Tomorrow please walk out on the street and pick the first 25 women you come across. Don't pick and choose though, just the first 25. Ask them how many of them, 1. Stop eating whenever they see a fashion model, 2. Want to be as skinny as a broomstick (not just thin, skinny AS A BROOMSTICK, i.e. painfully thin), and 3. How many give a rats ass who is at the top of the fashion industry. Then report back here with your findings. If you get 25 yes answers to all three, then you truly are on the moon.
Face the fact that you are engaging in a sexist stereotype. Some women may be that shallow, but you know good and well most are not. You just won't admit it. You talk about how ridiculous that stuff is and then claim that all women are that ridiculous too. Sorry. Not buying it. You're single, huh?

Rhino, I dont have to stop anyone; I see them every day downtown at lunch and on television advertizing where women are told that this is how everyone expects them to look. You can find them at the salad bar picking the alphalpha sprouts over the steak that they really want. You can find them in the hospital emergency rooms near death from damage to their hearts.
Are all women like this no, of course not. Do most women think they are too fat? My experience says yes. My wife, despite my protests, still wants to excersize her fanny into that of a 16 year olds, because of all this idiocy.
And yes, women are by and large that shallow just as men are. How many men would rather date a model than a woman who would make a good wife? Most people are shallow, period, and as this country moves further and further from its Christian roots the problem is only getting worse.

new here, but had to respond.
And sorry to revive a dead post. All the talk about the "perfect body".
I used to weigh 250 lbs. I was on meds and all that kind of stuff. Last year, i dropped the meds. I got sick and lost 30 lbs because of being sick. But, I got better and continued to lose weight because I was unhealthily overweight.
Right now i am at 150 lbs, with a big booty, hourglass shape that I am proud of. I don't want to be skinny. Then i'd lose my curves. I think curves are good. Most men think curves are good.
I am happy with my new body, that I worked for. But not only to look better, which helps http://freeconservatives.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif, but also to feel better physically, and emotionally.
Society treats you differently on how you look, unfortunately.
When I was heavy, I would apply for a job, I had all the qualifications, then they would skip me and hire the skinny girl.
When you are heavy, you go out to a restaraunt, and feel like everyone is looking at you and making fun of you for eating.
People, whether they will admit it or not, treat people differently according to how they look. Even if you don't realize you are doing it, it happens.
Not trying to lay any generalizations on you folks. You people are wonderful. I'm glad Rink sent me your way http://freeconservatives.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
I had more to say, but dangit, it's 1 am and my mind is gone..lol.
I have lots of stuff to tell on here, and I really hope to get to know you all very well and become friends.
