I forgot to turn the TV off in the other room tonight and overheard an egg-sucking lib saying stupid stuff about how "green" and "earth-friendly" the event finally was...completely green in all aspects. Yes, Al Gore had taken the podium...but after thanking everyone for their concern about the global heat problem...that cornball got his mike subdued as he was about to announce his...(I'm guessing he's now running for Prez) but the band kicked up loudly and faded away from him to the announcer. I'm glad I wasn't sitting in front of the TV to see his ghastly mug saying the worthless drivel.
I made a point of turning the TV off after that. No idea who won any awards (and don't care), just that this loser was on there, using it as a political podium.

Gore's funny, too - until you realize he's serious.

Um, no......that is what is called a joke.Ah yes. Somebody else who actually watched the "skit" informed me of this at lunch today. Hopelessly pathetic "skit" for the moron in a suit---Al Gore.
Again, I'm glad I didn't watch the show.:limp:

The only thing "green" about Hollywood is the $15 million per movie that those at the top of the casting couch make, while doing nothing more than reciting lines that were written for them.

LMAO!!!!!!! Now when they played him off.... that whole bit was funny. I can appreciate good humor.
But the pimping that ensued after that was annoying at best. And IMO took away from an otherwise great show.

And IMO took away from an otherwise great show. There is so little to do with "conservative" or even "moderate" at the Oscars...it's too out of touch with real American lives. Royalty ruling over subjects was supposedly dying/dead with the departure of pilgrims from European shores in the 15th century...the upper crust denizens of Hollywood are determined to bring it all back though...if it kills 'em.
