Alabama School District Bars Substitute Teacher for Taping Students to Seats

Thursday, March 01, 2007

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A mother is defending a substitute teacher who was banned from working in Jefferson County schools following reports that she taped several fourth-graders to their seats.

Kelley White said the incident at Pleasant Grove Elementary School was all in fun. White said her 10-year-old son became upset at how the event was being portrayed after seeing a television news broadcast.

"My little boy said they were laughing and cutting up," she said.

The substitute, whom school officials declined to identify, was banned Tuesday from teaching in Jefferson County schools.....http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,255941,00.html

Finally, a teacher tries to get some 'ol fashion dicipline' back in school and she gets HER mouth shut. Any parent that is upset about a teacher teaching respect, needs to be tought some respect themselves.

What was she supposed to do, give the classroom disruptors a 'TIME OUT'? The little monkeys wouldn't have respected that either.

In my days, I woulda had my ass set on fire, and I would have learned a lesson. (maybe).

In a better world, they'd standing, all right. They'd be standing long enough for the sting of an ass-whupping to subside. And no boo-hooing, either. Not with the tape over their mouth. Preferably duct tape.

And they wonder why we have the juvenile delinquents we have today. Punishment and dicipline has been taken away from the parents and teachers by the political correct assholes that preach no corporal punishment and 'childrens rights'. The 'children' will call 911 on a teacher in a heart beat, and on their parents too.

Yes, we have some scumbag adults in this day and age that will prey on children. Yes, we have parents that say: "If you touch my little Johnny, I'll put you in jail". But the kids see this as a fact that no-one can touch them, and they revel in it. WE HAVE LOST CONTROL AS TO HOW TO RAISE OUR CHILDREN TO RECOGNIZE ADULTS AS THEIR TEACHERS, MORAL CONFIDANTS, AND PROTECTORS. WE HAVE GIVEN THEM THE POWER TO DO AS THEY G-DDAMN PLEASE. Hence, the brats that refused to stay in their seats, because they had a substitute teacher.

Me, I raised my children to know that if a neighbor saw them screwing up, they were in deep shit. The neighbor had the right to dicipline...............and then when I got home, ...........................:flame:

I wouldn't last as a teacher. I'd have all the recalcitrant apes hanging upside down from the ceiling nursing their red butts the first day, and that would be it.

Prison? Fuggidaboudit! I laugh at prison!

I remember my first-grade teacher taping a boy's mouth shut on a couple of occasions because he wouldn't stop talking.
