Can the British Still Call a Cigarette a Fag?::By Doug Giles (http://www.townhall.com/columnists/column.aspx?UrlTitle=can_the_british_still_call_a_ cigarette_a_fag&ns=DougGiles&dt=03/10/2007&page=full&comments=true)
When it comes to unleashing humorous and scathing vocal invectives, Jesus was King of Kings. Yes, the Prince of Peace punk’d people like no other could. Would He have used the word “faggot” in one of His verbal chainsaw massacres upon the political and ecclesiastical morons of His day? Absolutely … not.
No, Christ would not have called some soulless, Aqua Net addicted, duplicitous politician who hires anti-Christ, homely bloggers a fag. That would needlessly offend the homosexual community by comparing them to a skanky politician. Having said that, I have no doubt Christ would have cranked out a cut down on a first century Edwardsian equivalent that would have sawn the boy down to the ground—Dorothy Hamill hair cut and all.
Read the whole thing, it's well worth it.

Read the whole thing, it's well worth it.
More than that -- it should be amandatory study for the three Ps -- Politicians, Priests, and Preachers. And it souldn't hurt if teachers at all levels were made to study it, too.

Brilliant! Positively, abolutely brilliant! :thumb: Doug Giles is da man!
Jesus, as Wilson points out, understood that kindness to wolves is hostility to sheep.
:claps:
Let me ask the Ann pooh-poohers on the Right a question: What exactly is one allowed to say or not say? ... Please, help us endangered brutish beasts of the baser sort to understand the Nancy world of civility that some are sweetly rollerblading into. Also, for clarification, which pundit[s], blogger[s] or radio show host[s] now determines what’s cool and what’s not cool? Will it be a group thing or do you have one Dandy you’re looking to?
But, Giles. Didn't you know? We must be "better than them." What's that? Oh, agreed. I never thought "being better" was the equivalent of "being stupid." But our Brahmins for Civil Discourse seem to think that is better than fighting back. What can I tell you.
I think all the stink that’s been made on the Right regarding Coulter’s joke is simply envious folks trying to get their slice of the Ann power pie. Of course, they’ll never confess that, because envy is the one sin people never like or admit they have.
BINGO! I said that till I got blue in the face.
And that’s what Ann does. She decimates the Left . . . and for that, I salute her.
And I salute you, Giles, for having the pair to stand up for her.
One of the many ways I get people mad at me is by reminding them that Jesus also kicked ass when necessary. Literally. Remember how he dealt with those who defiled his temple? Brahim conservatives HATE me when I remind them of that. They immediately start braying some cockamammie reason that would downplay Our Savior's rightful wrath, and restore His image to that of the languid, limp, "peace, baby" hippy that they find so much easier to digest.
Anyway, thank you for posting such a Hall of Famer, Sis. Though I doubt it it will make it to the Hall of Fame. That would offend the Terminally Sensitive. Can't have that.

Maggie, the admins decide what goes into the HoF at FC. Are you saying the admins here are Terminally Sensitive?

No, Fox. I just got carried away. Sorry.
I meant that some people reading that I proposed the article to go to Hall of Fame might e offended because they are Terminally Sensitive.
OTOH, your jumping to that conclusion makes you sound a bit, ah, sensitive, you know. (quickly ducks)
