AP - 9 minutes ago WASHINGTON - Recalled pet foods contained a chemical used to make plastics, but government tests failed to confirm the presence of rat poison, federal officials said Friday.

Now I am afraid to feed the cat. :(

Did any of you see the show I think it was John Gibson's Big Story that read the Email from they guy that was afraid this might be a "test" by terrorists to see how far reaching a food poisoning would be for humans? A scary thought but it seems if they were going to try something they would just go ahead and start with something humans eat, unless they didn't know this would be used for pet food instead of human food.

Feed the cat regular people food, like tuna. This is what happens when retards are given "old days" college-level jobs.

He's kinda picky. Not a table scrap kinda cat. But he might go for the tuna. I don't give him the "wet" food very often. We have the Iams dry. And I had a box of the pouches but the numbers were not the same as mentioned in the recall but I am not taking any chances. We lost one cat while my husband was in Iraq. He jokes that he didn't lose any lives while he was gone but I did. And he got the "casualty report". My daughter is the cat lover, I don't want to go thru that with her again.

The bad thing about seafood meals for the cat is they smell worse coming out than they do going in. But I guess if we gotta do something that might have to be it.
