Considering how badly things have been going for conservatives, right-wingers, Republicans and anyone else whose brain doesn’t explode like one of those guys from the movie Scanners at the thought of another Republican president, it’s worth noting that one of the greatest conservative victories of the last 40 years is quietly unfolding right in front of us. On March 9, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit issued an epochal ruling. The court found that the Second Amendment actually protects the right to bear arms for individuals.

Isn't this appaling! Now the DC criminals are going to be FORCED to invest in kevlar atire, and risk having their life insurance canceled due to being in a DANGEROUS PROFESSION.

Now they're going to have to form a Union, hire lobiest, and spend more money on anti-gun nuts to have the 2ND stricken from the Constitution.

Have we no shame?

So now the left's advocating an outright repeal of the Second Amendment? That will never happen, they're better off sticking to their old plan of doing that gradually through the courts.

It's not that easy for the gun-grabbers these days, despite this Congress and a weakened president:

WASHINGTON — A massive and seemingly mobilized online community has sprung among gun rights advocates readying for any possible action by the Democratic-led Congress to limit an individual's right to bear arms.

While activity on gun issues has been light in recent years — no Million Mom march or action to renew the assault weapons ban that expired two years ago — an explosion of activity among Web loggers shows Second Amendment purists are anything but complacent with the new majority.

They'd probably be able to stop President Giuliani, too.

No asshole, public or private, no entity, government or otherwise, can grant or take away an unalienable right. the Second Amendment is there in the Constitution to remind would-be despots that their life will be in peril if they try to restrain the population and keep them subjects. It is there as a guarantee to the governing body that the people will bring about laws by peaceful means. Take away that unalienable right by force, you will face a deadlier one.

Well, look at the bright side: they can always call the police to save them.

...Of course, there's no guarantee they'll show up the same day they're called.

All these anti-gun cowards as soon as they get in trouble who do they call? Well it ain't Ghostbusters, it is a COP who is armed. So when they call a cop they are in truth calling a GUN.

These anti-gun cowards are also the opposing "force" Americans will face for the war for the restoration of the Constitution. I want to see how they will utilize their cowardly, money-hungry lawyers and cowardly, black-robed baboons in the courts to fight cold steel and hot lead. What are they going to do? Declare the Second Amendment null and void?

Yet another reason the left is allied with Islam, disarming the populace has to be done for the marxist OR Islamic revolution. But the left are the real useful idiots this time.

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on Friday accused President Bush of failing to respect the Constitution amid the uproar over the firing of eight federal prosecutors (http://search.breitbart.com/q?s=%22federal+prosecutors%22&sid=breitbart.com).

The Illinois senator also took a swipe at embattled Attorney General Alberto Gonzales (http://search.breitbart.com/q?s=gonzales&sid=breitbart.com). Obama has joined several other Democrats in calling for Gonzales to resign.
"I was a constitutional law professor, which means unlike the current president I actually respect the Constitution," Obama told an audience at a campaign fundraiser. "I believe in an attorney general (http://search.breitbart.com/q?s=%22attorney+general%22&sid=breitbart.com) who is actually the people's lawyer, not the president's lawyer."

This coming from one of the biggest gun-grabbers of all. Mexico, Mexico, of all places, blames our handguns for their problems:

MEXICO CITY - Mexico's attorney general on Wednesday demanded U.S. authorities do more to stop guns and drug money from heading south and fueling the drug violence in Mexico that left more 2,000 dead last year.

Eduardo Medina Mora told a business forum that the vast majority of arms used by the soldiers of drug cartels, including assault rifles and grenades, are smuggled from the United States.

"It's truly absurd that a person can get together 50 to 100 high powered arms, grenade launchers, fragmentation grenades, and can transport this cargo to our country," Medina Mora said. "It's a task that needs a much more decided and determined effort from the U.S. government, and it's one of the demands we have put on the table."

She doesn't understand or "respect" the US Constitution any better than he does, both of them want a paved road to their end goal.

Was that photoshop? I can't imagine anyone in their right mind being around that idiot with a loaded gun. Notice the trigger finger almost inside the trigger guard while he is talking.

I didn't notice that but I do know from shooting trap and pheasant hunting that you don't get your finger that close until you're focused and ready to shoot your target.

Here's the source (http://www.sportsmenforkerry.com/jkhunting.htm) of the picture.
