Fred Thompson's first campaign ad? - By Andy Bowers - Slate Magazine (http://www.slate.com/id/2163075/)
If he does, he'll need some campaign ads. We at Slate have done him the favor of producing the first one for him. You can get a sneak peek in the player below:

I know it's still early, but they're going to have to do a LOT better than this.
Newsflash to liberal journalists: Despite what you inbred twits have been telling each other for 20 years now, the average American is NOT waking up every night screaming with flashbacks of a President who used to be an actor.
In fact, the vast majority of Americans today have a lot of fond recollections of something pretty similar to this.
Now if Fred Thompson had been a peanut farmer, I'd be be more than a little worried about this kind of attack. But an actor? Hey, bring it on!

Here's one of the comments...LOL
Imagine:
-You have the endless multimedia resources afforded by the Washington Post, Inc. + the American taxpayer via NPR at your disposal…
-You recognize a soft target for a timely and razor-sharp political parody…
-You have the limitless bandwidth of BrightCove to distribute your work to the world…
-You are Andy Bowers…
What do you do?
You f[bleep]k it up, of course.

A Fred Thompson candidacy would be a huge threat to the libs and they know it. He's a Conservative that would have a huge electability/likeability factor in the general election.
Fred, I'm not a begging man but............................................... .....PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE RUN!

And they have very good reason to be afraid.
Everyone is born whining and wanting someone else to provide a safe and comfortable world for him to live in. The people who progress beyond liberalism are those who eventually learn how to deal with reality, instead of just fantasy. But a conservative actor has developed the ability to use BOTH at will.
I know we constantly attack liberals as knowing "nothing." But that's not giving them enough credit. Democrats have one consummate skill, which they have spent decades honing to the exclusion of all others: the capacity to destroy the public image of a conservative who doesn't treat his persona as separate from his personality.
But a conservative who is at home in the liberals' world, and is able to deal with their games as just that: games? He is their worst nightmare.

Jack Colt: Who are you?
Mr. Jigsaw: I'm your worst nightmare.
Jack Colt: No, waking up without my penis is my worst nightmare.
Mr. Jigsaw: Okay, alright, so I'm not actually your worst nightmare. But I am right up there.

Nightmare? Liberals would consider removal of the Source of All the World's Evil a step toward perfection.

True. Liberals have never gotten over Bridges of Madison County, where the author proclaims testosterone the root of all the world's evils. The truth is 180 degrees away. Aggression -- action, the masculine principle, biologized in testosterone -- is the root of all progress, but it has to be properly channeled.
