DAMASCUS, Syria - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (news (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/politics/news/ap/ap_on_re_mi_ea/mideast_pelosi/22510938/*http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news?fr=news-storylinks&p=%22Nancy%20Pelosi%22&c=&n=20&yn=c&c=news&cs=nw), bio (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/capadv/bio/ap/ap_on_re_mi_ea/mideast_pelosi/22510938/SIG=117oqqabu/*http://yahoo.capwiz.com/y/bio/?id=447), voting record (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/capadv/vote/ap/ap_on_re_mi_ea/mideast_pelosi/22510938/SIG=11g9ra9e6/*http://yahoo.capwiz.com/y/bio/keyvotes/?id=447)) toured Damascus on Tuesday, the highest-ranking American politician to visit Syria since relations began to deteriorate four years ago. criticized the trip, saying it sends mixed signals to President Bashar Assad.
The United States accuses Syria of interfering in Iraq and Lebanon and sponsoring terrorists — charges Syria denies. The Bush administration has resisted calls to open direct talks with Damascus on resolving the countries' disputes.
Pelosi, D-Calif., is scheduled to meet Assad and other Syrian officials on Wednesday. She made no comment on arrival and headed for the Old City of Damascus where she toured the 8th-century Omayyad Mosque.
Pelosi draped a scarf over her head as she entered the historic mosque and stopped at a tomb inside the mosque said to contain the head of St. John the Baptist. She made the sign of the cross in front of the tomb. About 10 percent of Syria's 18 million people are Christian.
In the nearby outdoor Bazouriyeh market, she chatted with Syrians, who offered her dates, in front of shops selling olive oil soaps, spices and herbs.

She accused the White House of singling out her Syria visit for criticism.Actually, the WH or the President didn't single her out. The journalists asking the questions did.
Pelosi said she would tell Syrian leaders that Israel will talk peace with them only if Syria stops supporting Palestinian militants. She has said she will also talk to the Syrians about Iraq, their role in neighboring Lebanon and their support for Lebanon's Hezbollah militants.I believe that about as much as I believed Arafat repeated the same words to his people that he said to us.

Democrats Playing With Fire
By Thomas Sowell (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/author/thomas_sowell/)
Congressman Tom Lantos, who is a member of the delegation that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is leading to Syria, put the mission clearly when he said: "We have an alternative Democratic foreign policy."
Democrats can have any foreign policy they want -- if and when they are elected to the White House.
Until Nancy Pelosi came along, it was understood by all that we had only one president at a time and -- like him or not -- he alone had the Constitutional authority to speak for this country to foreign nations, especially in wartime.

From the article that ANI posted earlier:
Once Iran has nuclear weapons, that will be an irreversible change that will mark a defining moment in the history of the United States and of Western civilization, which will forever after live at the mercy of hate-filled suicidal fanatics and sadists.
The irony in this statement is not if but when the Mooosseelims touch off a few suitcase nukes, it will be in major metropolitan areas better known as liberal bastions. The even bigger irony will be when they hit Pelosi country, i.e. San Fagsicko. Noting the earlier venomous piece by the San Fag rag columnist talking about how abortions have probably affected the outcome of the POTUS race in 00 and 04. If Iran nukes a few of our 'Rat voting cities virtually eliminating about 20 Mil of their voters, then and only then, will their deceitfulness have come full circle. What a bunch of idiots!

Is there a pattern here? There WAS a pattern before the Pelosi trip... Let me illuminate it...
Carter hugging (fill in the blank) - The President operating within his constitutional parameters
Albright toasting with Kim Jung Il - The Secretary of State operating withing her constitutional parameters
Contrasted with...
Pelosi meeting with Assad - The Speaker of the house, operating entirely OUTSIDE her constitutional parameters... This is not a Congressional "fact-finding" trip... This is an open challenge to the delegated constitutional authority of the Executive branch, and is the highest breech of the constitutional separation of powers...
What amazes me is that our Republican "leadership" is doing nothing more than criticizing her actions, when they should be bringing her before a federal judge - She should be censored for this direct, arrogant, and open invasion of the authority of the Executive branch...
If she can do this, why cant Supreme Court Justices take it on themselves to negotiate peace treaties, or the President simply write and sign into law any bill he wants with no involvement of Congress?
But as usual, the Pubs do nothing...:flame:

The Pub Principle: we dare not speak out against those who loathe us and wish we were dead because it might cause them to loathe us and wish we were dead.
Tell her what you think...I did..you can email her office at this site:

It's a common mistake.
Why are you posting tables? That takes up a lot of space.

Nancy, it must be humiliating to know that of all those 430-some boys in the House, not a one would even look if you pranced across the dais in yer birthday suit.

But what about some of the other "girls" in the House? They might find Nancy . . . uh . . . interesting.
