DNC Shuts Out Fox

Fox News may have landed a Democratic debate, but the Democratic Party is refusing to give its formal stamp of approval to the September event, which will be co-sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus Institute.

“The DNC sanctioned debates will not include Fox," says DNC Communications Director Karen Finney in an email.

The Democratic National Committee announced today that it would sanction six debates, starting in July. In 2005, DNC Chairman Howard Dean called Fox "a propaganda outlet of the Republican Party," but has occasionally since then struck slightly more conciliatory notes.

The refusal of the party to consider sanctioning the Detroit debate, however, is a mark of an increasingly unified Democratic effort to marginalize the network.

A Fox spokesman, Michael Murphy, had no immediate comment on the DNC's plan.Ben Smith's Blog (http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0407/DNC_Shuts_Out_Fox.html)

"the Dems are afraid of a news channel that is known for fair reporting" "Well, the Dems still have ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, and of course CNN, the Clinton News Network anchored by two infamous Clinton consultants Paul Begala and James Carville. For the Democratic party to shut out fox and pretend all the other networks are 'fair & balanced is truly funny." These folks are clearly delusional...but that's what happens when 'the fairness doctrine' is replaced by obese, drug-addicted propagandists like Rush and Faux News. These vile, un-American *******s manufacture their own "truth" (having no relationship with reality or fact)mixed with a heavy dose of Fear and Racist resentment to strike a chord in the "hearts" of angry, insecure White People. Not only should Faux "News" be shunned by Dems, they should be legally prohibited from referring to themselves as a News Organization.:bsflag:

"Yeah, we don't need no stinkin' First Amendment when it comes to Faux!"

How many Fox viewers would watch a dem debate anyway? Not much to see there for people who have brains, and use them.

The upcoming Democrat Primary is basically a sham. Hillary Clinton will not be nominated; she will be coronated. However, the liberal media need an excuse to cover her 24/7, and they can't do that unless they can pretend there is an actual contest going on. To that end, Barack Obama has been set up as a straw man.

But it's starting to look like Obama (and apparently the Black Caucus as well) are trying to go, as Hillary puts it, "off the plantation."

Think about it: what the heck difference does it make to viewers whether a debate is "sanctioned" by the DNC? -- None. As always, front-runners are the only candidates who want to avoid debates - all the rest are more desperate for free air time than they are afraid of making a mistake. Queen Hillary intends to dodge this debate; but Obama will definitely be there.

Like all queens, Hillary does not give interviews to reporters; she grants audiences to sycophants. So she has always avoided Fox News like the plague. As a First Lady and senator, that wasn't a huge deal. But this will be the final straw. After this snub, Fox will not cover another Hillary appearance without mentioning the fact that she refuses to speak with them.

This move puts Hillary and the DNC in a position of demarcating a clear battle line between themselves and an entire news network. First of all, it's hard to believe they are delusional enough to imagine that this "marginalizes" someone BESIDES themselves. But, more to the point, I don't think it's possible to win a national election that way.

I'm really trying to see their logic in this. Like Rhino said it's not like anyone that watches Fox would watch the 'Rat strokefest anyway. When was the last time the DNC had a debate? In 2004 their "debate" consisted of 90 min of team Bush bashing, with nary a lucid thought between the lot of them.

I will wait for the general election debates in October of '08 when Fred Thompson wipes the floor with Hitlery.

DNC Chairman Howard Dean called Fox "a propaganda outlet of the Republican Party,"I wonder if Deanie watches CNN International whenever he isn't crucifying conservatives.
