Panel: Global warming a threat to Earth

By ARTHUR MAX, Associated Press Writer 49 minutes ago

EXCERPT:

BRUSSELS, Belgium - An international global warming conference approved a report Friday warning of dire threats to the Earth and to mankind — from increased hunger to the extinction of species — unless the world adapts to climate change and halts its progress.

Agreement came after an all-night session during which key sections were deleted from the draft and scientists angrily confronted government negotiators who they feared were watering down their findings.
"It has been a complex exercise," said Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

Several scientists objected to the editing of the final draft by government negotiators but in the end agreed to compromises. However, some scientists vowed never to take part in the process again.

As usual none of it is actually verifiable since this is far into the future.

They basically say.Follow us or die!

They call this science.

I call it a great example of dumbing down of the human race.

There are some glaring holes evident in their doomsdaying.

Can you guys spot at least one?

"unless nations adapt to climate change and halt its progress"

"For the first time we are not just arm-waving with models,"

"Without action to curb carbon emissions, man's livable habitat will shrink starkly,"

""We can fix this," by investing a small part of the world's economic growth rate, said Schneider. "It's trillions of dollars, but it's a very trivial thing"

Lunacy!! Utter and absolute LUNACY!! The worst part of the whole thing is the "negotiated process" by which "consensus" was acheived.

For a 'mere' TRILLION, we can stop this...right...and tomorrow, monkeys will fly outta AlGore's rear-end.

Last week, it was in the low to mid 80's here. This week, in mid 50's during the day, and last night was 23. The trees are in bloom and most have their full leaves. The peach orchards are three weeks ahead of schedule, and the owners are shivering bullets.

We NEED some GW down here, and fast...................................

Can't spare any. It was down to 18° (F) yesterday, and it's 26° now, with a couple of inches of new snow.

The GW religion is rapidly approaching its "jump the shark" moment (if it hasn't already reached it) with the screeching, alarmist rhetoric that only the most devoutly liberal morons can believe. Day by day the hyperbole grows more outrageous and incredible.

And they have the balls to call their bullshit "science".

"unless nations adapt to climate change and halt its progress"
Under their own scenarios, two of those nations are China and India, yet those nations were largely exempted from the requirements of the Kyoto Protocol--one of the reasons the U.S. Senate all but unanimously said, "No way," to even debating the matter.

Of course their models will show that global warming is human-caused because that's the very first assumption built into their models and all their other assumptions are designed to prove the first assumption.

Damn liars need to be shot. With arrows. Dipped in curare. Or beheaded. With a dull guillotine that bludgeons the head off rather than cuts it off.

I can't think of any more bloody, painful ways right now to take them out.
