Several years later I [the author] left a very brief relationship with a little energy company out of Houston you may have since heard of. It turned out that I had unwittingly joined a full-scale effort to make a fortune off of advancing the “global warming” scare. Mere months after I had raised uncomfortable – and unsuccessful – questions about this internally, on August 4, 1997, company CEO Ken Lay joined with British Petroleum’s (then-Sir) John Browne in an Oval Office meeting with the President of the United States, Bill Clinton, and his VP Al Gore.

The agenda was to ensure the U.S. joined up to the Kyoto Protocol, an international treaty capping carbon dioxide emissions, in the name of catastrophic Manmade “global warming” – and , as it happens, make these gentlemen an awful lot of money.

I knew that Enron’s Ken Lay was a heavy contributor to Clinton/Gore and was a frequent golfing buddy of Clinton’s.

I knew that from 1992 to 2001, Robert Rubin's company, CityGroup, along with J.P. Morgan, conspired with Enron to hide $8.5 billion in debt as commodity trades in order to inflate Enron's earnings to fool investors. (Note: Robert Rubin was also BJ Clinton’s Treasury Secretary.)

I knew that on 11/8/2001, Rubin, using insider information, called Treasury Department official Peter Fisher and asked him to intercede to delay the downgrading of Enron Bonds that would make them worthless. Rubin needed the delay so that his bank could dump millions of dollars of Enron bonds on unsuspecting investors before they became worthless. Of course Fisher just said "NO!"

I knew that Ken Lay was one of 400 CEOs, energy experts, environmentalists, and labor union officials involved in Dick Cheney’s Energy Task Force and Enron was merely 1 of 150 corporations, trade associations, environmental groups, and labor unions represented.

However, I never knew that Ken Lay conspired with BJ Clinton and AlGore to get them to join up with the Kyoto Protocol so that they could make a lot of money. Ken Lay must have been very disappointed that the Bush Administration planned to rescind the Kyoto Protocol. I wonder if that decision contributed to Enron’s collapse. After all, Lay was counting on Kyoto to make him a lot of money.

The press has gone out of its way to make Lay look like Bush's best buddy.

Yeah! Ken Lay did contribute to both campaigns in 2000, but he was only an acquaintance to Bush but he was frequent golfing buddy to BJ Clinton and a frequent guest in the Clinton White House including overnights in the Lincoln Bedroom.

No doubt Bill loaned him Monica from time to time.
