Did the Devil Make Him Do It?

Wednesday, April 18, 2007

By Lauren Green

When unexplained violence takes center stage, we tend to turn to modern psychology to explain it.

But there is an alternative explanation, one that has been played out in film, stage and writings since the beginning of history.

Was Cho Seung-Hui schizophrenic … psychotic … manic-depressive? Or were the shooting deaths of 32 people, including Cho himself, at Virginia Tech University part of the ongoing struggle between God and Satan … good against evil … lightness and darkness?

Could Cho have been possessed by the Devil? Could that explain the massacre at Virginia Tech?

Dr. Richard Roberts, president of Oral Roberts University, shouts an unequivocal “Yes!”

“Based on what I’ve seen in the news," Roberts said in an interview, "there’s no doubt that this act was Satanic in origin."

Roberts added that he doesn’t know if it was Satanic “possession” or “oppression.” Possession, he said, occurs when Satan takes over a person’s life, and the person’s actions are dictated by demonic possession within. Roberts says he’s seen this type and has seen the Devil cast out of a person.

Satanic “oppression," on the other hand, is "that which comes against." "It’s not in a person, but is coming against them, trying to put evil thoughts in their minds,” Roberts said.....http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,266860,00.html

I thought only Catholics become possessed. ;) In the movies and on those freaky "re enactment" shows they show on the Sci Fi channel it's always a Catholic and a Priest comes to do the exorcism. I have always wondered why you never see a Baptist possession with Pastor Bob coming to undo it.

Seriously though he sure did have a nasty view of Christianity.

I have always wondered why you never see a Baptist possession with Pastor Bob coming to undo it.No offense intended but I have heard that the Baptists would rather spend the time drinking beer and eating Bar-B-Q...........:D:D:D

On a serious note.....Why is it that folks feel this burning need to determine a "reason" for what this whckjob did at VT? Evil is evil IMO and needs no reasons or excuses for the actions of such.

No no those are the beer bottle Baptists.

We have other kinds here too. My Grandmother would have belted you in the back of the head with her Bible for even touching alcohol or a deck of cards. (cards = the devils book)

I confess to knowing more of the beer bottle Baptists than any other kind of Baptists.......

From your comments I gather I made the right and SAFE choice too......:D:D:D

Did the Devil Make Him Do It? No, he merely invited him. Cho accepted the invitation.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick!

Right. The devil wants you to kill, rape, steal, lie, and then kill yourself. You open the door.

The media know perfectly well what the "reason" was. What they are desperately trying to sell is any DIFFERENT reason they can dredge up.

The nutcase himself said he killed the students because of how the voices in his televsion told him that the Columbine Breakfast Club misfits became heroes by finally having the guts to stand up to those evil rich kids, and he fully (and as it turned out correctly) expected that the media would transmit to the world his sad tales of how terribly awful the so-called "normal" folks always treated him.

So it's entirely accurate to say the fruit basket was possessed; because he certainly was. And if somebody wants to call sensationalist media the Devil, well, I'm not sure that's too far off the mark either.
