. . .

In a speech last week, House Democratic Caucus chairman Rahm Emanuel declared that corruption in the Bush White House is worse than that of the Nixon administration in Watergate. "In many ways, what we have seen from this administration is far more extensive than that scandal," he said. The interests of the Republican party have been elevated over the national interest. "This is no accident," Emanuel claimed. "It's all by design."

And the chief designer, in Emanuel's scheme of things, is Rove. In 2000, Rove "often drew an analogy between that election and the election of 1896, in which adviser Mark Hanna joined forces with many of the plutocrats of that Gilded Age and ushered in a 35-year era of Republican dominance," Emanuel said. "Without a trace of reserve, George Bush and Karl Rove set out to re-create that earlier era of one-party rule."

Of course they did. They created a majority center-right coalition (overturned by the 2006 election), just as Hanna put together a Republican coalition of the well-heeled and the working class, and just as FDR created a dominant Democratic majority made up of Northern liberals and Southern segregationists. There's a name for this kind of activity: politics.

Um, except for the anomalies of Grover Cleveland and Woodrow Wilson, there was a Republican dominance that ran from 1860 to 1932 thanks to the Civil War.

Wilson won when T Roosevelt split the republican votes with his Bull Moose party similar to Ross Perot's party did in 1992. Wilson won reelection with the slogan "He kept us out of war", then promptly got us into WWI three months after his second inauguration.

Think about it: the moonbats honest-to-God believe that they are trying to save planet earth. And we're opposing them. Well then, that means that we must be trying to destroy the world, right?

So in the eyes of the moonbats, EVERYTHING we do is - by definition - evil.

Republicans win elections? Well, that's evil. Republicans get out of bed in the morning: evil. Republicans breathe: evil.... And by exactly the same token, nothing that any liberal world-saving hero does can ever be wrong - ever.

"Liberalism" has nothing whatsoever to do with politics; it is a religion. We are its infidels, and whoever happens to be the leading Republican at the moment is their Antichrist.

Liberalism ain't even a religion. It's a fantasy story of good versus evil with super heroes, villains and damsels in distress. Every lib is a hero, every conservative a villain and the world is in distress.

Sure it's a fantasy - and an infantile one at that. But it is one that they wholeheartedly BELIEVE.

The reason that liberalism doesn't look like any other religion is because they have sucked all the spirituality out of it. They ACT like zealots, but they SAY that they don't have any "beliefs" - that their puerile tenets simply ARE. Basically, that's the same thing as being unable to tell the difference between fantasy and reality: it's the very definition of insanity.

Even the craziest Muslim extremist has a buffer of spirituality between his beliefs and those of other people; Islamofascists simply believe that we all worship an evil God. But liberals don't have even that tiny thread back to objectivity.

Because, to the liberal, what you and I believe can't possibly be DIFFERENT from liberal beliefs -- they don't have any, remember? No, to them, we are simply wrongness (i.e., evil) incarnate.

Make no mistake about it: we are not the liberals' bogey man; we are their Satan.

They don't believe their fantasy. They invest a great deal of energy in it to make it seem as though they sincerely, honest-to-God, really, really, rilly believe the childish gibberish they espouse.

What liberals do is what every little kid does who wants to impress mom and pop with his independence: Dig in his heels and insist he's right no matter how much proof shows he's wrong. Nothing more than stubbornness. If he stays at it long enough he can superficially convince himself that he's right and they're wrong, but to do that requires a great deal of self-persuasion, insisting that they only want to keep him a little boy and they don't respect him and they just wanna boss him around, etc. It's a form of denial most of us practice early on and then just get sick and tired of.

But not liberals. They keep on with it their whole lives, dragging other people into their argument that they're right and their folks are wrong. It doesn't have to be their actual folks, of course; anybody who won't let them have their way is "their folks." Any authority figure who wags reality in their faces is just wrong. This is why it's so important to a liberal to feel right about a decision, because he knows in his secret heart that he's fighting with reality but he refuses, like a kid in the Terrible Twos, to bow down before reality.

That's the liberal fantasy, and it's so destructive precisely because they do not believe it. If you truly believe something, you feel no particular need to convince everybody else that you're right because you don't really give a shit what the other guy thinks. It's when you're not sure of yourself, and you want validation, that you're most likely to go rabid and foaming at the mouth and shouting down the opposition and throwing things. You literally don't want to hear it because it makes you look bad, stupid, puerile, whatever. Because of their immaturity, liberals can't handle being wrong. That's why they're so hateful.
