If this did not give me a heart attack, nothing will. How dare this imbecile give out such irresponsible advice! There are enough soft-brained morons out there who might just take his rotten advice (just to prove how sophisticated they are).

I am this close to losing it. :flame: :flame: :flame:

See what this unconscionable turncoat writes (http://www.townhall.com/columnists/BruceBartlett/2007/05/01/conservatives_for_hillary).

And if it does not make you as mad as it made me, I'll have what you're having.

And if it does not make you as mad as it made me, I'll have what you're having.Never mind what we're having. I want to swap mine with what HE'S having!

On the other hand, I might suffer flashbacks and start going to Grateful Dead concerts and walking around in tie-dye T-shirts.

Or vote for Hillary. :flame:

No, not you, Boat. I'm just too angry to know what I'm saying.

What was Townhall thinking publishing this crap?

What was Bartlett thinking, is my question.

I'm really pissed off at this joker. :flame:

Politically sophisticated, indeed. Well, if that is what being politically sophisticated is all about, thank you, Lord, for NOT making me politically sophisticated.

You're right, what was he thinking writing that tripe? Yep, I'd rather be a political Neanderthal!

At some point, politically sophisticated conservatives will have to recognize that no Republican can win in 2008 and that their only choice is to support the most conservative Democrat for the nomination. Call me crazy, but I think that person is Hillary Clinton.
Fair enough, Mr. Bartlett, I will: You are a psychopath. Oh, and since you asked, you are also a complete idiot.

Seriously though, does anybody know why the heck Town Hall is letting retarded moonbats post columns there now?

Maybe there's method in the madness. If the column pisses off enough conservatives, they might get off their asses, work on finding a good, solid conservative GOP candidate and start pushing him as though the fate of America depends on it.

In fact, it does.

Judging by the long list of responses, TH readers aren't ready to accept defeatism.

I should have taken Bartlett's advice and stopped reading after the fifth paragraph.

Next thing you know, he'll be advocating that we install Al Sadr as the new dictator in Iraq since he probably figures were going to lose anyway. It makes me glad this guys only a pundit and not a president or general.

Speaking of good solid conservatives; Isn't Fred Thompson supposed to be on Hannity and Combs tonight? I hope the ratings are through the roof. I fully intend to watch. Perhaps Hannity will be able to go for half the show without uttering the name "Giuliani".

This dude thinks it's all over already. He thinks Americans in general oppose the war in Iraq. He thinks there are differences worth mentioning between the three commies.

He gots it wrong on all three counts. All it takes is a really strong candidate to make everyone forget everything else.

I'd love to know how much The Bitch paid this turncoat to act the part of the snake in Genesis.

And I insist. There are enough moronic defeatists out there who'll jump at the chance to take the easy road and chalk it up to their "political sophistication."

I have a lot more to say on the matter, but mods would have to censor my language. So, I'll go graphic instead.

Not even close.

I hadn't watched the show in a while. Hannity keeps harping about Giuliani's electoral status - says he's a shoo-in for Pennsylvania and Florida. Dick Morris (correctly) points out that Giuliani only has a 4-point edge over Hillary in the nationwide polls right now. Once he had the nomination, Giuliani would lose at least 10 points due to the liberal media yanking the rug out from under him. Then all the electoral bean-counting in the world won't be worth squat.

We can be damn sure Hillary will have an energized (frankly, maniacal) base behind her. If the Republicans nominate someone our base can't feel confident rallying behind, we'll get steamrolled.

He has been co-opted. Spent too long in the Washington/New York press and political circles, and lost the forest for the trees. Time to start taking what he says with buckets full of salt.

I remember when Goldwater told the Republicans to lay off Billy Jeff, and Peggy Noonan has said some moonbat things, too.

The hard-core right-wingers who kept reading past the point I told them to stop probably all think I’ve lost my mind by now.Yeah. Pretty much.

I love this comment somebody posted:
Suppose the socialist is a Republican (McRomniani)? Will conservatives compromise?

I suppose the only difference between Clinton and McRomniani is a matter of lubricant.McRomniani! :rotflmbo:

Such a "Maroon"

Just when Bartlett seems to have reached his nadir, he reaches even lower with this article. He's the Harry Reid of US politics. "Declare defeat and angle for an appointment in the Democrat administration."

He and Paul Krugman should join up and form a firm called Doomsday, Inc. Both are Lewinsky wannabes if Hillary gets the oval orifice.

Ok. I'm listening to Laura Ingraham. She's creaming Bartlett over his stupid column.

What drives me completely up the walls is his "argument" that Hillary is the most pro-war and (you'll love this one) the most fiscally sound democrat. And republicans are basically dead and done with, anyway (he brays).

SAY BLOODY WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!

Bartlett, you chump, have you ever heard of "campaign promises"? Hillary is "pro-war" and "fiscally conservative" strictly depending on whom she talks to! Have you never heard of her speech to the MoveOn crowd? "If this administration does not end this war now, when I'm president, I will."

Anybody who believes that Hillary will keep her "conservative" campaign promises needs to be kept under lock for his/her own good. :flame:

A pox on Bartlett!

McRomniani, LOL, now that pretty much sums it up.

As with the first Clinton election, it won't be anybody but the Republicans that seals America's fate.
