Independent - 2 hours, 57 minutes ago The growing influence of British police in the hunt for three-year-old Madeleine McCann was underlined last night when it emerged that child abduction and paedophile behaviour specialist officers had flown to Portugal to help.

Who would leave 3 children that small alone in a room while they went out to dinner? Seems strange that a pedophile ring would only take one of them. Something doesn't seem right here.

I was hoping it was Albright.

Well, Rhino, it was the whole body that disappeared, not just the brain.

Police Seize Suspect's Computers, Cell Phones in Case of Missing U.K. Girl

Tuesday, May 15, 2007

LISBON, Portugal — Police searching for a 4-year-old girl who disappeared during a vacation in southern Portugal have questioned a British suspect and placed him under formal investigation, a news report said Tuesday.

Portugal's national news agency, Lusa, quoted unnamed police sources as saying the 32-year-old Briton, who reportedly lives close to the hotel where Madeleine McCann disappeared, was one of three people questioned late Monday.

Detectives and forensic experts searched his villa for most of Monday, taking away computers and cellular phones, Lusa said. Portuguese media said police drained the villa's pool.

The villa is about 100 yards from the hotel where Madeleine, from central England, was apparently abducted while vacationing with her parents......http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,272395,00.html

Something doesn't seem right here. That bothered me too, Sooz... No explanation was made for leaving these tots alone... Are these parents just that stupid and self-indulgent?

They weren't there the child could have wandered outside looking for them and maybe whoever took her didn't even know there were siblings inside. Sick ... peed and wanted new pants ... thirsty after all day in the sun ... anything. Once outside it would be easy for anyone to take her. She is a beautiful little girl, someone might have just wanted a child and she looked easy to get. Hopefully they wouldn't hurt her. But this guy they are looking at now, I fear he would. :(

I hope they find her soon, it sure doesn't look good though.

Odds are that when they do find the child it will be too late. This kind of crap just makes me sick to my stomach.

We continue to molly-coddle the scumbags who hurt/kill innocent children and it goes on and on and on........:flame::flame::flame:

Suspect in Case of Missing British Girl: I Am a Scapegoat

Wednesday, May 16, 2007

LISBON, Portugal — Speaking exclusively to Sky News, Robert Murat, who police say is a suspect in the case of a missing 4-year-old British girl who disappeared last week while on vacation with her parents in Portugal, said he had been made a "scapegoat" by Portugese police.

He was detained on Monday night but released.

Officers said they did not have enough evidence to arrest him in connection with 4-year-old Madeleine McCann's disappearance.

"This has ruined my life and made my life very difficult for my family here and in Britain," Murat said.

"The only way I will survive this is if they catch Madeleine's abductor."

He added: "I've been made a scapegoat for something I did not do."....http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,272735,00.html

I hope it wasn't him. My prayer is there is someone out there who took her because they wanted such a beautiful little girl to raise their self. Someone who must have problems, but not the kind that would make them hurt her. :(

I am also praying the parents didn't go to the restaurant as a cover story. You never know these days.
