"Has anyone seen the rest of me?"

"I'm very proud of that shadow behind me. I had to stand up twice to make it."

"Does this make me look fat?"

Peter Jackson must not have payed her well enough for her role as Galadriel in Lord Of The Rings. Someone throw her $5, the bitch needs to go to McDonalds and get a Big Mac!

Well, as you know, no one is perfect. And considering all the actors chosen for roles in that movie, and speaking as a HUGE Lord Of The Rings fan, I have to say Jackson and crew did a damn fine job in casting that movie. Nearly all of their choices were dead on.

But I will agree on Cate as Galadriel. He could have made a little more effort to find an attractive woman to play the role of the character Tolkien described as "the most beautiful creature to have ever existed".

I mean, Cate is not "ugly" (with the exception of her current "look" any way), but even before her apparent "heroin addiction" and the subsequent apparent on-set of full blown AIDS, I never thought she was particularly extraordinary. I have always thought people just put too much into their praises of how attractive she is. I'm sorry, I never saw the attraction.

And he could have done a little better with Arwen. While I agree that Liv Tyler is attractive, much more so than Cate Blanchet, and she did do a superb job in the role, I can never help super-imposing her father's (Steven Tyler) "rock-and-roll life style over hers, and she just doesn't fit the image of Tolkien's Elves.

Everyone else in the film though was great. He could not have picked a better Saruman than Christopher Lee.

Though, if you ever buy or rent the DVD of "The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen", in one of the interviews with Sean Connery, Sean mentions that he was offered a role in Lord Of The Rings, but he said he turned it down because he couldn't understand it.

I would be incredibly interested to know just what role he was offered, because I'm curious to know which one of the actors in Lord Of The Rings was actually a "Back Up Choice".

With the money that Movie Trilogy has made, I know Sean isn't exactly a "poor man", but he's got to be kicking himself for turning down those multi-millions.
