RAMALLAH, West Bank - Hamas militants have suspended a TV program that featured a Mickey Mouse lookalike urging Palestinian children to fight Israel and work for global Islamic domination, the Palestinian information minister said Wednesday.

Information Minister Mustafa Barghouti said the character — a giant black-and-white rodent with a high-pitched voice — represented a "mistaken approach" to the Palestinian struggle against Israeli occupation.

He said that the program was pulled from Hamas-affiliated Al Aqsa TV at his ministry's request and "placed under review."

The character, named "Farfour," or "butterfly," but unmistakably a copy of the Disney character, preached against the U.S. and Israel each Friday on the show called "Tomorrow's Pioneers."

"You and I are laying the foundation for a world led by Islamists," Farfour squeaked on a recent episode.

The rat will be back. He was one of the "stars" of the "Children's Club" in the late 90s, preaching the same hatred, the same violence, and the same passion for Shahada (http://www.pmw.org.il/tv%20part10.html).

The children must be carefully taught, and the Palesterrorists do that with great expertise.

Talking Chick Promotes Massacre with AK-47

On a children's program discussing the importance of trees, "Tarabisho - the Talking Chick" - was the center of the discussion. The child moderator asked Tarabisho what he would do if someone, specifically a "little boy," were to chop down his tree. In his squeaky little voice, Tarabisho answered: "I'll fight him and make a big riot, I'll call the whole world and make a riot. I'll bring AK-47s [assault rifles] and the whole world, I'll commit a massacre in front of the house".

Rather than use this opportunity to teach children the value of peaceful communication and negotiation - peace education in other words - the Palestinian Authority instead aired a message that promoted violence as a way to solve problems.

Mickey Murderer is back sooner than I expected.

A Mickey Mouse-like character who urges Palestinian children to support armed resistance was at the centre of a snowballing row yesterday involving accusations of anti-Israel propaganda and incitement.

Israel complained bitterly when reports emerged of the character called Farfour on a Palestinian television programme discussing more than just traditional children's matters.

But a spokesman for the station, which is owned and run by Hamas, the largest party in the unity government, later announced the programme would continue and to remove it would be a political surrender to Israel.

"Al-Aqsa TV refuses this pressure and refuses to cull its programme or alter any of its content," Fathi Hamad, chairman of the Al-Aqsa television board in Gaza City, said.Anti-Israel 'Mickey Mouse' row escalates (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/05/11/whamas11.xml)

Al-Aqsa TV may soon find itself with a big bullseye on its building.
