I'm not exactly sure that congratulations are in order for a genius who competes in a Special Olympics event. Nevertheless, Thompson's thrashing of the mental midget Michael Moore's challenge to a "debate" had to be done. And it was done with as much class as such a dirty job could possibly be done.

The article remarks on how fast the response was issued. Of course it was pithy - but Thompson can do that any time he wants. The truly amazing thing to me is that he produced what looks like a professional-quality commercial in (at most) a very few hours, and with no notice. It's hard to imagine he would spend any money in response to a poorly drafted email, so it's clear that Thompson is already set up for this kind of thing. I don't know of ANYONE else who could accomplish the same thing in the same amount of time (including Michael Moore, who makes cheap films for a living and has absolutely no other skills whatsoever.)

Sometime between now and the national election, Hillary Clinton will have to step out from behind Bill's amiable smirk - but she's not quite ready yet. She has been running for 6 years now, and she STILL hasn't managed to find a production crew who can make her seem personable for thirty seconds in a row. So who's most prepared for '08?

My money's on Soros.

I think Fred Thompson's possible run has got Soros seeing the money he's spent in his effort to Defeat America being flushed, and that's why he's sicced Moore on Thompson.

You don't think Soros could sic Moore on Thompson? Surely you don't think Moore is "his own man." Of course Soros is pulling the strings --he's got the Elected Democrat[ick] Leadership getting their marching orders from him every morning. Why not Moore?

When Thompson finally officially enters the race, save yourselves a lot of wasted money and a lot of embarrassment - Withdraw from the race and throw your support behind Fred...
