Voter ID bill fight in TX

The Republicans pushing the voter ID bill say illegal immigrants are voting in Texas elections and must be stopped. But Democrats say thousands of legal residents will lose the right to vote because they lack proper identification. Opponents of the measure — including Gallegos, a Mexican-American — say minorities, the elderly and the poor are less likely than others to have driver's licenses or other documents.

I can't believe you don't have to show ID to vote now in TX!! We always have to show a picture ID in our state. Pretty obvious that the 'rats are pushing for some illegal immigrant votes!

The ONLY reason the Democrats oppose the voter ID bill is that they want to be able to continue to cheat.

The just ended legislative session here was a sham, a bunch of feel good legislation was passed. They couldn't agree on a property tax reduction even though there is a state surplus, and that they were unable to come up with a voter ID bill is just unacceptable. There is no other reason that I can imagine other than the Dems want to be able to cheat.

How can you be a legal voter if you cant identify yourself... In Alabama you must be on a registered list for your specific poll location and that is the only place you can vote... When you arrive you must show valid ID and it is checked against a master list of registered voters for THAT poll location...

The Leftists are no longer pretending to play by the rules... They now openly demand that any and all illegal votes be allowed and counted...

As they say in the Democratic Party, "Vote Early and Often"...
