Report: Soda May Seriously Harm Your Health
Tuesday, May 29, 2007
You may want to put that soda can down.
A common preservative found in drinks such as Coca-Cola, Sprite, Dr. Pepper, Fanta and Diet Pepsi may cause serious cell damage, according to a report in Britain's The Independent.
Sodium benzoate has the ability to switch off vital parts of a person's DNA, according to research from a British university.
The problem is usually associated with aging and alcohol abuse, but new findings show that drinking soda with the preservative can eventually lead to cirrhosis of the liver and degenerative diseases such as Parkinson's.....http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,275736,00.html

Pepsi uses potassium benzoate. I wonder if that makes a difference.
IAC, I need the soda to wash down the coconut oil that I use for my popcorn.
Good thing I don't drink soda! Water for the win!Have you had your water analyzed?

We get all of our water from this water cooler company, Gordon water I think it's called. I don't drink out of the tap though, it usually is pretty gross tasting.

One thing that no one ever report: people who eat bread inevitably die. Studies have shown that 100% of the people who have eaten bread from biblical times to our very day have died or will die. The connection is glaringly obvious, and a consensus about it exists amongst scientists.
And don't get me started about the hazards of dihydrogen monoxide.
