It really makes you wonder, does he really think he knows what he's talking about?
Does he think all of those opposed to his amnesty are stupid?
Bush , "those who appose don't want to do what's right for America"

He knows what his opinion on the matter is, and undoubtedly knows those who oppose him simply disagree with it.

If I tell you that Bush has disappointed me royally, it would be the understatement of the century.
And to those who always said "He's no conservative," I have to say "You're so right."
I went throuth all the titles in this forum and I found one that said that conservatism has always been pro-immigration. I'm sure people have duly duly dealt with that generality by screaming "LEGAL immigration," so I don't think I need to do that.
This whole business is so ... I don't know, I just cannot come up with a word that expresses my anger at this catastrophic immigration debacle. Not one that's fit for printing, anyway.
In between the move, my leaving work and Maine, I've found the time to yell my discontent on this immigration thing both on the radio and in person. I think a lot of folk can't wait to see the back of me.
Sigh. :sulk:

Your moving to Idaho Maggie?
I wouldn't mind moving up around Priest Lake. We've got our eyes open up that way.

I think quite a few of us folks fit into that boat! Looking back in retrospect I have to say that he has missed many golden opportunities in many areas. Oh don't get me wrong he has managed to pull the broken clock syndrome and has been right on a couple of things..but you know what they say!
But the few things that he managed to get "right" has had its pitfalls also.
He "barely" got the SCOTUS's right after the conservative backlash.
grade: Incomplete TBD
He "barely" got the WOT right.. Going to Iraq and Afghanistan was right but outside of that... grade: Incomplete TBD
He "barely" got the taxes right... Too much compromise with timetables involved, this should have been permanent! grade: Incomplete TBD
He "did" turn turn the economy around after the Clintoon recession creating many new jobs in the wake of 9/11. For this I give him an A+.
Outside of his "near" hits, only one bulls eye, he has been a complete disaster! And I'm with the dear maggie on this one!
Immigration - No need to go there... F-

Abortion: B-
Welfare Programs: F-
Information Dissemination: FFFFF-----
Now don't get me wrong! Nobody gets angrier than I do when the left bashes my President for ignorant crap such as global warming, International relations, and other trivial meaningless Bull S***! And he is MY President until 2009. But make no mistake about it, I will not make the same mistake again!
MY next presidential candidate will be one who believes in the complete sanctity of life and recognizes a trespassing criminal when he sees one! Mr President don't lecture us like were stupid!
MR PRESIDENT: BUILD THAT WALL!!

Bush is truly dissapointing. Maybe he should not have gone for a second run and it could have ended well.
Frankly everything is in the shitter if you ask me. WOT, War in Iraq, Home issues. Its a mess.
I dont know if anyone else running for President can fix it. I just dont have that kind of faith in any of them.

I don't know if any of that necessarily needs to get fixed as it just needs to be run by someone who doesn't give a crap about what Europe, the muzzies and the homos think. All the above things have the structure set in place, but because of the RINOS and the 'Rats it's like a gas engine running on diesel...
Don't get down on the country my dear Prez until after the 2008 election. If Hitlery Obama Edwards gets elected or any one of the assorted RINOS then I will join you in the faith dept. Keep hoping for a Sen Thompson win in '08 and I have confidence that the country has the potential to run under articulate management with a spine!

His legacy, along with Carter's and Clinton's, will be as awe-inspiring as a dog's syphilitic penis. They can kiss their good standing good bye.
DISCLAIMER-- Those people are or were public servants. Don't mount them on pedestals like the office of the President. There is a difference.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Bush's rise to power (and re-election) is a classic example of knee-jerk vote casting.
This is what happens when you elevate the policy of mandating the continued control elected offices at all costs above maintaining the integrity of conservative beliefs.
In the end, you achieve nothing.

And never mind the use of 20/20 vision hindsight, eh? The President was not on a butt-kissing trip with the Mexicans when he was elected twice. The two other assholes, I would not pick to scoop up my dog's poop.

I don't care about Al Gore or John Kerry. Neither Gore nor Kerry were elected. The dimwit in the White House was. The politics of fear only results in zombie-fied masses voting for the "(R)" or the "(D)".
You are proof of that.
First he starts a war that cannot be won using the tried-and-failed warfighting methodology currently being employed (a methodology he, as commander-in-chief, is ultimately responsible for implementing) -- killing thousands of our brave soldiers in the process, wounding tens of thousands more, and destroying the readiness and capability of our forces and equipment.
Then he gives away our sovereignty to millions of lawbreakers (and is stupid enough to think that the flow of illegal immigrants will simply dry up).
Not only do I question whether Gore or Kerry would have been worse, I question whether ANY president over the past 50 or 60 years has been worse.
If the Dems win, then so be it. I'm willing to live with it (as I endured eight years of Slick Willy) because that is the only way purge the Republican party of this neo-con, let's-give-the-world-freedom, let's-broaden-our-voter-base-by-watering-down-conservatism, kinder-gentler-nation, compassionate-conservative nonsense.
The Republican Party reeks of cowards too terrified to articulate true conservative principles because they are afraid being accused of being hate mongerers, or anti-diversity, or killing babies in the street because they want to end welfare (etc., etc., etc. -- the list is practically endless).
The Dems reek as well, but I'm not going to knee-jerk support a party of cowardly incompetents just to keep them out of office.

Vote Constitution Party. No, really. Instead of giving Hillary the power, we should transfer the Republican votes to the Constitution Party. Thus, we will defeat The Bitch and the RINOs at the same time.
Honestly. Tell everyone to do that and you might get results.
