Excerpt:

WASHINGTON — Valerie Plame, the former undercover CIA officer whose 2003 exposure touched off a leak investigation, is accusing the government of delaying publication of Fair Game, her new book.

Plame and her publisher, Simon & Schuster, sued the CIA in a New York federal court Thursday. They accused the government of illegally refusing to let Plame write about the specific dates she worked for the agency.

The CIA, which has acknowledged only that Plame worked for the agency since 2002, must approve all writings of former officers before they can be published.

"The sole benchmark is whether it contains classified information," CIA spokesman Mark Mansfield said. "The concern is that publication of the manuscript as submitted would cause additional damage to operations and would affect the CIA's ability to conduct intelligence activities in the future."

Plame contends that the CIA released information about her work history in an unclassified letter about her retirement benefits. The letter says that Plame worked at the CIA for more than 20 years.

From another forum,

Montypython:

LOLOLOLOLOL

I wonder how many of those who've been defending Plame recognize the utter lack of credibility, lack of honor, and lack of integrity this situation proves about Ms Plame. Please try to follow me here:

First off, there are only two possibilities involved: Either Plame lied about being an "undercover" agent who was "wrongfully outed"......Or she wasn't lying, and she really was an undercover agent who was wrongfully outed.

With me so far? I hope so. Now let's look at those possibilities one at a time:

1 - If she was lying, then it should be obvious (and need no further explanation) why any book about her "exploits" as an "undercover agent" who was later "outed" must be dismissed as without merit.

2 - But if she wasn't lying about it......And really was everything she's claimed to be.....Then publishing a freaking book about her work history at the CIA, the specific dates involved, etc, will put everybody she worked with and every job she worked on during those dates in tremendous danger!

See what I mean? In EITHER case (whether she was lying or not), this book clearly demonstrates her complete lack of integrity, honor, credibility, etc. It's all about HER HER HER, and tough sh*t for anybody and everybody else.

Edit to say this:

I am NOT Montypython.

I am Sunsettommy at the forum I posted this gem from.

OK, since the second possibility would obviously result in a lifetime stay at a federal penitentiary, I think we can safely dispense with that.

OF COURSE she wasn't a "covert agent" per the statutory definition.

It's probably the worst-kept secret in the world that nearly everyone who lives or works in an embassy, at some time or another, reports one intelligence agency or another.

But to go from that kind of run-of-the-mill intelligence gathering to the idiotic assumption that this dilettante (who bragged about her "glamorous" cloak-and-daggar lifestyle to anyone who would listen for a very long time before she posed for the "secret agent" Vanity Fair photo spread) is some kind of female James Bond - with foreign agents poised to kill her and everyone who has ever spoken to her once her status was revealed - is probably the craziest moonbat conspiracy theory that has ever been advanced.

And that's saying one whole Hell of a lot.

Everyone who's followed the Plame thing, even slightly, knows that she and her husband are political liars. They'll say anything to make themselves look good and Bush bad.

That being the case, I can't imagine why anyone would want to read her screed, which one knows ahead of time is going to be one lie hiding another all the way down. She'll mix in as much truth as necessary to make it plausible and the rest will be invention out of whole cloth.

Knowing that to be the case, the only rational reason to read the thing would be curiosity.

I posted it to keep showing what sickos they are.

Plus they are moonbat democrats to boot.

I see that most Trolls and other liberal morons are no longer defending the plame's.

6 feet underground may the only covert action she will ever complete.

I agree that this publicity hound needs to go away.
