Muslim Melting Pot
Once again, America beats Europe on assimilation.

Against the backdrop of civil war, Abraham Lincoln stirred Americans by appealing to their "better angels." Now some of those angels appear in an unprecedented study about Muslims in the United States--and they may show us how to prevent civil war in Europe.
"Muslim Americans," released by the Pew Research Center, contains moments of bad news. For example, one in four respondents under the age of 30 accepts suicide bombing. As a reformed-minded Muslim, I say that honoring any religion of peace through violence is like preserving virginity through pre-marital sex. Think about it.
But the Pew report offers a lot more good news. Political Islam has not caught on in America as it has in Europe because most Muslims in the U.S. are--dare it be said--treated with dignity.
The vast majority of those surveyed like their communities and describe their lives as "pretty happy" or "very happy." Which means lobbyists do not speak for Muslim Americans when they cry that the U.S. hates Islam.

All of this is meaningless unless the "moderate" or "assimilated" Muslims become pro-active Americans. Terrorism is not a part of American culture and until the Muslim community takes an open and firm stand against the Jihadist movement, they remain a 5th column within our borders! They cannot be permitted to "sit on the fence" in this cultural battle!

Muslim Melting Pot
When I read the title, I thought it would be an article on what Muslim-dominated countries do to the "infidels" who live there.

But that's more like a crucible than a melting pot.

Political Islam has not caught on in America as it has in Europe because most Muslims in the U.S. are--dare it be said--treated with dignity. That's true, but I think it's peripheral in America. Here, there just aren't as many noses sticking into your life as in Europe or anywhere else, for that matter.

That alone leaves dignity more intact than European (or Middle Eastern or Oriental or African) busybodyness, but then there's also the case that Europe is much, MUCH more class-stratified than America is, a fact that supports the article's contention. Here, our first question is "What can you do?" There, the first question is "Who are your folks?"

It's utter stupidity.

All muslims are moderate in their host nations until they get to be a significant percentage of the population. They begin to get antagonistic at about 10%. They are only 6% here, if I'm not mistaken. Every country that has a 10% or more muslim population has had muslim efforts to destabilizing the host country. Ask Denmark about it.
