Two years ago a customer's poodle had puppies. After a few days really, of having puppies in the house, the owner gave the babies away. She brought me a 3 1/2 week old puppy. I was surprised because she was planning on selling these babies for $700.00 each. I took the baby, fed it on a bottle and it slept in a nest of cat fur kindly provided by my two male cats that fell in love. I carried her in my pocket, then in a pouch.

At her first visit to the vet, I was told that Arwen had a very serious heart condition and would die shortly. So short was her life to be, I was advised not to waste my money on her vaccines. I went and did it anyway. I prayed, I asked everyone I could think of to pray for her life. This sweet little girl, such a baby. Surely God could fix her heart.

I just took her in for her shots. The vet was floored that Arwen is still alive. When she saw Arwen's name on the appointment list, she thought it was a mistake. Surely a dog that sick, that young, could not possibly have survived. The heart conditon is not nearly as serious as it was. She is likely to live a long and happy life. There is absolutely NO medical reason to support a change in her condition. Dogs with this kind of heart malfunction do not survive, period. Normally they die within weeks. As they grow, their hearts just give out unable to support the growing body. Except for Arwen, a miracle, the miracle of life.

Thank you Lord for the gift of my dog's life. Thank you for fixing her heart. Thank you for Everything, ever gift, ever promise fulfilled. Thank you God for this sweet baby's existence.

When people ask me why I believe in God when there is no evidence to support such an idea, I can't believe it. WHAT. Evidence. There is evidence every day. Hard, concrete evidence. I am so happy that I am a believer. It's the greatest gift in the world.

Praise Him!

So happy for you Kathy. Don't worry, there are still plenty of us out here that KNOW, just like you, that miracles do happen, and we also KNOW Who originates them, :smirky: .

You must have done something right in this life. The dog lives by the grace of god, it is a reward, and we are all grateful.

Very touching story. Yeah, I like it too when people claim there is no evidence that God exists. Must be miserable to be an atheist.
