The Senate takes up "comprehensive" immigration reform again this week. But the meat's still missing in this burrito. As Mexico's ambassador to Washington warns, even the "rosiest, peachiest" reform in the US won't end the flow of poor migrants. Reform must also take place in Mexico.

And begun it has.
For the past seven months, Mexico has been at war with itself, literally. A new president, Felipe Calderón, has dispatched 24,000 troops into battle with the most corrosive influence in Mexico's economy: powerful drug cartels.
These violent syndicates, which mainly transport drugs into the US, have exploded in the past decade. They've escalated crime and political corruption, hindering creation of well-paying jobs for would-be migrants. At election time, they provide cash for many campaigns

The trick is start rounding them up here and deporting them, jail companies that hire them, make is such a nasty environment here that illegals will not bother and the ones here will leave.

Nary a whimper is heard from the taxpayers who have their food money ripped out of their pay checks to give to the lazy domestic welfare bums here. BTW, someone posted a link the other day to a list of cities who have declared themselves to be Sanctuary cities for Illegals... To my own shame, the list was topped by Alabaster, Alabama... I fired off an email to the Governor asking if he was aware of this, and included the website...

And to my suprise, the Governor (yeah I know, probably some office functionary) sent me back - not an email - a personal letter thanking me for the info, stating he was not aware of this, and that he had turned the info over to the Alabama Director of Homeland Security...

Well, maybe nothing will ever come of it, but at least they have been alerted, and I was pleasantly suprised to get a response...

Thats what really pisses me off about the illegals over here! I'm tired of these politico's calling me racist and stupid about immigration when these same idiots aren't putting any pressure on Mexico to clean up their own act to keep these illegals home.
