Now that the immigration bill is off the table for the time being, let's start a "Close the Border" campaign before the Congress can recover from the shock, and shock it was, of the overwhelming response of the American people against their subversive legislation. I'm sure the American people are up for this, but will lose momentum if something doesn't get started soon.

The skunk watch is officially on, I would say. Better watch your decisions, you public servants. It's time you were supervised by your bosses! I know I'm keeping an eye on your collective ass! The Constitution will not be toyed with!

Well "Border's First" might be a good name for a PAC.

Vigilance, vigilance, vigilance. I know that word has been give a very bad rap lately, especially by our Imperial Officials. But we must keep a constant eye on these creeps. Power has gone to their heads and you know what that means, if we let them get away with it: Hello, dictatorship!

While I'm sure that I missed out on a lot of the discussion here over this moronic Amnesty Bill, I hope it isn't too late to add my own two cents. I agree whole-heartedly that before we let the clowns in DC rest we need to smack them upside the head with their promise in the Last bill to protect our borders.

They've GOT the money to build the damned fence already, or at least get a good start on it, but they're stalling. We need to keep pressing them to get to work.

All in all though, I've always felt that the fence wouldn't really be all that useful anyways. I mean ladders aren't all that expensive..

But this might work:

I envision a 5 mile strip along the border from San Diego to the Gulf of Mexico with big clearly printed signs (in both English and Spanish) saying, "Enter at your own risk!" And another similar strip extending from Washington state to Maine with the signs printed in Fwench as well. Just for fun, we should place a few in Arabic stating, "Cross Here."

With all the extra land mines noone else is using anymore, the cost of the bloody things is rock bottom cheap! In fact it'd Probably be a LOT cheaper to maintain this sort of border protection than the fence anyway. Heck, we could even convert all those IED's we're disarming in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And we could even name it the "Princess Diana Memorial Park (North and South)" in honor of her hard work at providing the massive supply of cheap, unused devices for our own use.

Just a thought.
